All sparkly and clean :D .

Did you go to the showroom and ask for an RS4 in the worst colours possible?

8k miles
previous owner, Audi of America
6 yr/100k factory warranty
$45k

I can live with the color, especially since I seldom see it, since it's view OUT of the winshield and the engine note that amuse me more than gawking at it

;)

besides, looks like a big toy and is atypical for me, previous cars:
2002 dark red
Porsche 931 coffee black
e30 M3 grey
e36 M3 while
current e46 silver

call it my 180 mph mid-life crisis, beats a dork in a vette with hair plugs and goldchain, or some choad in a miata with gut resting on the steering wheel...

btw: the color, Imola yellow looks great in person, the car, amazing

Thing is, it's already lowered on 30mm eibachs, you can imagine how high it sat when on seventeens without them :D . I kind of made my mind up last night and ordered crower stage 2 cams and pulleys :D . coilovers next time lol....

Finally managed to get the pictures I took of the R32 off of my phone. Unfortunately they havn't come out as well as I thought.

This picture was taken a couple weeks ago:

The following two were taken at the weekend after a wash/wax/polish:

Thats all I have at the moment as the car is filthy again

I must say though, the performance and noise makes up for it! :D

I love R32's, prefer the mk4's but the standard exhausts on the mk5's make a very nice sound

Yes they do (especially in tunnels)! :D

I do like the MK4 as well but I needed a automatic (or at least no clutch - hip issues FTL..) so it was MK5 all the way (not that I am complaining).

Nice car :) .

Hows the dsg gearbox? were these available in a three door as well?

They were available in three door as well but I personally find the five door to be more practical.

The DSG gearbox is excellent, its suite the engine perfectly (something that can't be said for the DSG box on the diesels).

Personally due to a combination of better MPG, lower CO2 emmissions (thus affecting the tax bracket - quite noticable on the R32 as it nigh on doubles with the manual) and better acceleration (especially using launch control) I would always choose the DSG over the manual although I can see why some people would prefer the manual. AS said though I needed a car with no clutch so the DSG was a no brainer.

Slightly seperate but interestingly it feels noticably quicker than my old A3 3.2 DSG which I had a while ago, it also revs right up to 7000rpm with no noticable power drop, despite the red line coming in at 6500rpm (the normal rev limit). This leads me to believe it may have been mapped (especially from the point about the higher rev limit) although until I can get it on a rolling road I can't be sure.
