Despite the fact in my last post I stated I would have no further participation in this thread I feel oddly compelled now to keep going.
I apologise if in my last post I had not made myself clear, when supplying the definition of Racism I was merely doing so for reference as most people are not aware of the true meaning of the term. However I can see why some may believe I have contradicted myself.
It is not racist to be against the unlimited wave of immigration and it is not racist to want to see the majority of immigrants return to their ancestral homes. It is not racist because it has, at least for me, absolutely nothing to do with race. As I say I have had the good fortune to gain insight from various walks of life. Most people if perfectly honest are completely fed up with how society is changing due to the influx of other cultures and the feeling that immigrants are being encouraged to express these different cultures, which in itself is no bad thing, whilst important elements of our culture seem to be swept away in case they cause offence. I don’t have the specific details but a great example of this was an episode of Coronation Street where a couple where due to be married in a church, the higher ups decided to remove the crucifix from the scene in case it offended the Muslim population and I have also heard of other instances such as St Georges day celebrations being cancelled as well as outrage from other cultures about the traditional school nativity performances.
Talk to builders about the state of their profession, most if not all will explain how difficult it is to find employment due to the sheer amounts of immigrants doing the same jobs for a lot less money, below or exactly at national minimum wage. This is not a simple case of greed; you can not expect anyone to be happy about having to take a substantial drop in pay for doing a job they do well. There are so many examples of this I could give however in my personal experience immigrant employees are given preferential treatment, longer breaks, leniency when breaking rules etc. As a door supervisor I was branded a racist by immigrants because I lawfully denied them entrance to the night club, we where at capacity anyway and it was passed entry time. I wish I could say this was a one off but I have been subjected to such drivel on many occasions
The fact is while I and others like me feel this way, it is clear that those in charge are doing little to nothing to address our concerns. The British National Party appears to be the only party who genuinely wish to do something about this.
