**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

There is no one in world football to replace Ronaldo, he is the most naturally gifted player I've with my own eyes seen at United.

He has given us 6 seasons, we have just won the league three times in a row, so I will not be bitter about him leaving; I will however be sad and angry if United fans start slating him off after all he has done for us.

I wonder what odds you can get at the bookies now that Utd will draw Real Madrid in the champions league next year and Real will knock Utd out thanks to a Ronaldo goal :)

I hope he's a massive flop in Madrid and ends up regretting it

Not because I'm bitter about him leaving, just in the manner in which he's finally left, from last Summer to now

I know right, he's been such a jerk. Scoring 18 goals in the league, how could he treat the club so badly like that?

(lol'd at the picture on the BBC sports football front page! :D)

Tough one to replace Ronaldo, I really don't know who they can bring in to do that.
£80m should be enough to bring in solid replacements for the older players but they really need a new winger now.
How about bringing in Zhirkov on the left and then someone else on the right?

i said after the cl final i didnt mind if he went, now hes actualy going its a little sad, ill miss him playing for us and also in general the premiership is losing one of the best if not the best player in the world, SAF must have a plan....allthough i hope he does, makes me wonder what has gone on, first SAF was saying no hes not selling never, then you have a hands off warning, then real madrid saying there relationship means more...then all of a sudden he goes...

ah well, i want to sign tevez but i wouldnt spend that much on him, i want too see a big name or 2, kaka and ronaldo at madrid....christ....to bad its a team game, theyll stil get tanned by barca

Anyone see this?

Sporting Lisbon have initiated talks with Manchester United about re-signing winger Nani on an extended loan spell or arranging a player-plus-cash exchange involving their captain, the attacking midfielder Joao Moutinho.

tbh ronaldo going is a good thing... I'd be well every season if I was a man united fan and he was constantly talking about leaving.

Will be interesting to see how united get on without him - when ever he has been injuried I've been pretty unimpressed.

Also wtf do Real get this amount of money from?! I know they are the worlds highest earning club, but their wage bill has to be massive?

No swearing

i would love to see ribery come, but the price we will pay would pay well over what hes worth, says on the site 87m, i wouldnt want to sign him for more than 50m as id like too see another top player come

I always said I thought he was going this summer (in this thread even)

I wont be sorry to see the end of his petulance or selfishness on the pitch I have to say (how many free kicks does he waste - probably about 70%)

Some glorious goals no doubt at all, but one player is never worth it - cant wait for a WHOLE team to work together again at last
