**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

not a man u fan but if he goes its a big loss for the english game, we need players like him playing here:(

yeh we do, like i said before in general ill miss him, the english game needs some of the best players in the world, i dont think anyone in the premiership atm could challenge for best player in the world, rooney....maybe, but thats jumping the gun as we need to see what how he stands out now ronaldos leaving, torres has the talent, but liverpool need to win things for that to be possible, robinho probably has the talent but with man city, not a cat in hells chance in becoming noticed.

I know right, he's been such a jerk. Scoring 18 goals in the league, how could he treat the club so badly like that?

(lol'd at the picture on the BBC sports football front page! :D)

What?

Think you missed the point, I'm talking about his off field antics

Ronaldo's departure may be a blessing in disguise, Rooney will defo be the man to run the show which my heart says, but I think I have to agree with one of the posters here Valencia and Ribbery would do nice and if we do not manage to buy Tevez, I would really like Benzema on our side.

With Berba on our side there is no way Benzema is on his way here

sad he's leaving the prem, now spain has the top 3 players in the world?

but as a man utd fan it was peeing me off hearing rumours and him playing games, you need a fully focues team that want 100% to be at the club, if ronny did not have that then maybe it's for the best. will see come May next year

Yes and no, yes he will be missed for his flair but we can watch him do that in La Liga anyway, and no because it should allow Rooney and the other english players at united play more together and in their suited roles rather than around CR; and no again because it means United won't get away with playing **** and allowing CR just to freekick them to 1-0 wins :D

Im a man utd fan and I would genuinely rather we lost ronaldo and took some down time next season to rebuild and restructure than just do what we have been doing and being boring.

It hurts to say this but I have preferred to watch liverpool at times this season.

Ribery or Villa will NOT end up in Manchester, sad but true

If Villa doenst want to move to the Spanish enclave in the North West of England he certainly wont move to Utd (if he moves at all he will stay in Spain)

Im also not sure if BM would sell such a high profile player to Utd after the Hargreaves fiasco - even if we could afford their asking price (just because the total Ronaldo deal is £80m, rumours are that Utd wont get the full amount up front and it will be paid over a number of years).

We need at least one high profile striker - whether Berba stays or not (and I think he will) a proper winger and preferably a real meaty central midfielder / hard tackler etc etc

Thank god for that. I hope he gets his knee shattered two weeks after the deal goes through.

mature. the guy is an unbelievable talent, and a personality and he brings masses of entertainment to the sport.

I hope he goes to real and prospers, and im a devout united fan but also a devout football fan. He could hardly have been asked to do or give anymore to united than he has in the last 3 seasons.

good luck to him :)

Now then, i want benzema, a solid right back (assuming wes aint fit) and ribery please!

and use the change to find a keeper :D

The man has in my opinion single handly won man utd between 15-20points each of the last two seasons. handed Man Utd fans everything they wanted. And now some of you are slating him for his unproffesionalism in wanting a move away.

You should be grateful for what he has done for your club and in the process giving Man Utd the opportunity to rebuild the squad with the profits of his sale. You lot should be wishing him the very best of luck. The premier league will miss him!.

It's not sad about Newcastle :p

Will be a shame not seeing him play in the premiership though, time for someone to sign another world class player every team can envy :D.
