What do you regret buying?

Also I bought an stupidly expensive Alienware laptop...... worse impulse buy in the world.

At least you've got the 'impulse buy' excuse. I planned my laptop for about a year (about 4 years ago) and spent £1500 on a Rock. Nice specs for the time, and a high pixel count screen which I loved... in theory.

In practice it looked awful. I had it swapped once, but wimped out of returning it for good when the second was no different.

That was a lot of money (by my standards) to regret. Not quite as bad as the £7k my last relationship cost me, but that kind of thing is harder to regret.

In public anyway. In private I may have been known to sob uncontrollably into the list of things I could've done with the cash instead. :->

I regret buying my computer from OcUK. Nothing wrong with it i just didnt need it and in the end had to sell most of it on the MM.

Absolutely.

Example -
If I transfer files from one drive to another on my Q6600 I can't do anything else such as opening up Firefox.

If I do the same on my P4 3.6 I can do whatever I want.

And yes I have checked all drivers, BIOS settings and everything else.
Basically, how I see it, my Q6600 is running at 2.4 where my P4 runs at 3.6 and I don't actually use the other 3 processors.
I also build/repair other systems so when I have them I try the same things and they give the same results.
Today on somebody else's machine I unrared 4.3 gig of files while trying to open up Photoshop and I could have made a cup of tea.
My P4 3.6 does it no problem.

something is drastically wrong there mate

even a Q6600 running one on core would pee all over any P4

for me, 2x 6600gt cards on the same day (in different machines) they both broke within the same week, right after the 1 year warranty's ran out

the only gfx card I've ever had that failed :( (both different makes too!)

I really really regret all the boxes and boxes of cigarettes I purchased in 10 years :( and the amount I've spent on alcohol. Luckily I came to my senses and quit smoking 10 months ago and only drink once a month now. That being said I could probably have been able to have bought myself my dream motorbike (Tiger 1050) and a deposit on a house by now!

Live and learn people, live and learn.

Besides that it probably has to be the nintendo DS with 2 games I bought which I sold for a £60 loss a month later and the 1998 BMW 318i I sold for a £1000 loss after 6 months :(

PSP. Bought one brand new then sold it 2 weeks later.

PS3 - Bought it brand new. Sitting collecting dust under my tv.

I kind of regret buying an r33 Nissan Skyline GTS-T on a credit card when I already owned a nissan 200sx a few years ago. I'm still paying the bank off now!? (along with a load of other debts rolled into one)

It was fun hooning it around though! :)
