Fake Tan

A quick question for the ladies of this forum, and for those of you who have girlfriends who apply fake tan.

My girlfriend has very fair skin, and feels quite self conscious and aware of it, particularly when wearing shorts or skirts.

She normally wears tan colour tights to make her legs look a little darker, however with the hot weather we've had over the weekend, she's been finding it too hot to do this.

I know that she could go to a beauty salon and have this done, but I imagine this would be rather expensive.

What is the best product/method to use when applying fake tan?

Some people don't tan well, and also a lot of sun tanning now is become increasingly dangerous. Skin cancer has been drastically on the rise recently. Plus it could be she just doesn't have the time.

Though I can't be of much help to the op.
 
personally i prefer fairer skin, but thats just me, i find fake tans make you look orange, last thing you want is to look like an oompa loompa!
where i live, there's so many fake tans, all done badly, so they've got massive white patches all over, and a tanning salon where women take their babies and leave them in a pushchair outside the booth. this is unfortunately given me a very dim view of people who use fake tanning products/tanning salons

The best brand and most widely used is St Tropez
but since she is naturally pale, its likely that this would look like really obvious fake bake.

So perhaps try a gradual tanner?
It builds up a daily tan, which you can build to however dark you fancy.
Dove Summer Glow lotion is supposed to be good.
 
My girlfriend uses the moisteriser gradual thingers. I don't know what he beef is with being pale, but it does make her go a nice colour. She doesn't go orange and it doesn't happen overnight, so no one notices she's done it... which I suppose is what you're after. I'll ask her what she uses, it works and she doesn't look like she's been tangoed ever, she goes a very pleasant shade.
