I keep it in the cupboard, but wished i kept it in the fridge.

Calling something a "Gross generalisation" don't make something anything less true. I always speak from experience. I've worked in a 5 star hotel's kitchen and was often told off for throwing away food that had dropped on the floor. My mum has also worked in a resturant and she has told me the same experiences. In fact almost anyone will tell you the same or worst if they work in a busy kitchen.
