What MMORPG are you currently playing?

Just stopped playing Eve after a couple of months, got boring for me. Lotro was nice for a month but that got "samey" around lvl 39, its not bad though may return and reroll. Next stop old republic mmo...

Yea I'm a bit lost for MMO's atm, was looking to get one started up but nothing takes my fancy.

Did 10 day wow trial but gave up and though not again lol. Went back to war for a week or two, fun RVR but no depth. In EVE I jsut spin my ship around and then logout :(

I hope SWTOR will be good.

Not playing any, reporting for mmorpg.com on mortal online now and then but haven't even managed to get in beta yet!

Not sure I'll bother though, it's nice not having a MMO to play for a change :)

Real life > MMOs, I think a lot of players forget that - know I did, feel like I missed out on a lot thanks to bloomin games!

Playing WoW at the moment, was getting a little bit tired of it recently, but exams have limited my play time, so I'm looking forward to a summer of free time where I can play a fair bit more if I'm at home!

Played wow for a long time, and AOC for a bit too.

got bored with them just like every other game. my house mate plays wow to a sickening level, 5 nights a week raiding, says he likes it for the social side, not sure how much of that i belive

Only trouble with Real Life is that the graphics are good, but the loot is generally rubbish, the grind is monotonous and the respawn timer is excessive :)

Playing wow cos my friends are but I have stopped and come back a few times, tried pretty much every other major mmo and nothing felt quite as good for me. I just wish EQ2 was more like EQ1, been tempted to play EQ1 again but it just feels like a massive step backwards on so many levels...

Started playing Vanguard on the free month again last night. Almost gave up after an hour struggling with the graphics settings, finally got the game running smoothly and without corruption. And then the very first quest giver on the starter island was broken.

They fixed it pretty quickly after a petition, and there's a real gem of a game behind it all, but it's a wonder they have any players at all with that kind of stuff to battle through just to get started.

I have played a whole bunch of MMORPGs. Started off with UO (which I still have very fond memories of) and then have gone through (not in order) Dark Age of Camelot, World of Warcraft, Anarchy Online, Everquest 2, Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes, Lord of the Rings Online, Lineage 2, RF Online, Final Fantasy XI, Age of Conan and Dungeons and Dragons Online.

But for the last 6 months I've been playing a Free2Play game called Atlantica Online which has been really refreshing as its such a different style (fighting done very similar to the Final Fantasy VII+ series) and I'm really enjoying the PvP (mostly consensual via a league system) as it is very tactical so you can pull off wins against much higher and better equipped opponents if you get it right.

It also doesn't seem to suffer from some of the drawback of a F2P game as pretty much all of the items that you can buy from the shop can be sold ingame so theres no unfair advantage for people who have a lot of money to put into it if you can put a bit of time and effort into it.

Never heard of this game before, had a quick look on the site and sounds good. So I'm now waiting for it to download :)

i agree with ya 100%..all mmos are the same, they all play the same just with different graphics..mmos suck bigtime

None.

There isn't any MMO out there that's worth my time. They're not even MMO's anymore what with all the instancing, solo content, king-of-the-hill pvp, leaderboards, armory, spoiler sites etc.

These are just games, not MMO's.

i agree, i dont like all these new 3d MMO types where players are put off working together in party due to less exp, i prefer the Diablo 2 type of play where players are much better playing in party then going solo, although games are limited to an 8 player max this works fine for D2 but not so much in an 'open world game'

Roll on D3!!! :D
