I used to have one and loved it. I wouldn't be spending the >£1500 required to get a decent one now, though.

hi mate ive got quotes at 21 on the 1.6i and 1.8i versions around 150/160 bhp at 500 quid. So not to expensive but im lucky as my postcode is A risk.

Agree with both of you, i couldnt actually think of a new car id like to drive apart from something in the 50k area of which im not going to have for a long time.

that would be the EJ-Ek series then dude 95-01, the 1 you posted in the picture is a EG9 which ended in 95

i wouldn't get a EG coupe though you would be a lot better off with the hatchback as they look a load nicer imo, unless you can find one whats been tastefully modified but no to much over top

Have found this its an SI model and 99 so not sure what thats the equivalent to.

The jap built ones are stupid insurance groups. I went from a Jap built 1.4 GL to a uk built 1.4, dropped from group 14 to group 5 or 6. Either way i went from 3rd party to fully comp with no extra charge.

I'm seriously considering an EP3 civic. Just got a quote for £540 FC (Am 25, decent area etc). Doesn't seem too bad.

Perhaps have a look at 5th gen preludes if you want a Honda of that Era (97-01)
Civics big brother, just make sure you get a manual and 2.2 vtec. (Not the auto, or the 2.0 manual)

Now i'm looking for a 330ci sport and to be honest i could never imagine going back to the low quality of those old hondas. Don't get me wrong, it was all good and fun, buying new parts every week and tuning the cars but i now realise to everyone else they were just 10 year old cars that make loads of noise and mean that they can't sit in my backseats or i won't get over a speedbump.

I'm looking forward to a more refined powerful car.
