im pretty certain they're nothing to do with polarisation, they're just LCD flicker glasses. One closes the other opens, making you see a different image with each eye, hense the need for a 120Hz monitor.

How is it confusing? It clearly states there is no purchase needed and offers an alternative route of entry (sending a SAE)It is still cofusing if you have to buy the card or not
