ETA of WD Green 1.5Tb?

Me too ! I've been waiting for it to come into stock for the last month and still nothing... :(

i got 2 1tb greens in the end, as on my list i get my parts from it was £90 cheaper then the 2TB disk (i could get 4 1tb Green WD drives for £50 more then the 2TB disk)

Yeah unfortunately 1tb isn't going to cut it on mine, I need the extra space but have no intention on paying out another £100 for the extra 500Gb on the 2Tb drive.

Why? The 1tb and 1.5tb pricing scales perfectly. i.e. £67 for 1Tb or around £34 per 500Gb

The 1.5Tb drive is £100 on Google so thats 50% bigger than the 1.5Tb drive and 50% more expensive. The 2Tb drive on the other hand costs a lot more for only a little more space.

What about the Samsung F2 Eco 1.5tb? These are in stock some places. Also ridiculously cheap.. £80 last I checked. Wish I hadn't bought the Seagate at £E97..

Yeah I just bought one of those. £79 quid for the Samsung 1.5Tb F2 EcoGreen which is a complete bargain.
I'm fed up of waiting for the WD Greens. I can only assume WD is holding onto them in the hope of it boosting the 2Tb sales, but they would be better getting them out there.

Apparently the samsungs only have 1 year warranty tho. Else I would have purchased one myself. TBH when I am buying a drive that big I do want a fairly decent warranty on it.

7200.12's aren't available in 1.5tb size else I would have got a pair of these rather sharpish.

Whatever you do - don't get the 7200.11.

If your talking about the 7200.12s tho - I'd say do it :D

I've had a 1.5Tb Seagate sat in my PC and has been for over 6 months. Never had any problems with it and its not affected by the firmware issue

Have read that they've had quite high failure rates, in fact if you order the reviews at the site selling them for 80 and sort by date order, then have a read.
