**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Ok ok ok so he doesn't bring tha many assists but I bet he assists the assistee ;)

He has something to do in every Man U attack thats for sure.

Apparently Spurs have accepted bids of £8.5m for Huddlestone from a few clubs, Sunderland being one, Villa believed to be another and also Everton (though I can't see Everton paying that tbh, they have better midfielders than him already)

^

He's needs to lose some weight i think, seems a bit lumbersome at times!

Btw, Chong = Bison from MP? Noticed the same sig!

He's actually not overweight at all anymore but just isn't naturally pacey at all. He's always gonna be just a holding midfielder who won't roam much from the middle of the park. With space, he is superb at picking a pass. A slow Carrick, if you will, but Carrick is miles ahead of him with everything else.

Lol, everyone knows what happens at Chelsea :p

RA, Kenyon & Arnesen all play FM09 together and if RA loses he goes and buys the best players off the other 2, except he does it in real life just to really show them who's boss.
So he visits the player in a blacked out limo with a suitcase full of notes to tempt him in then when he's inside, "CLICK, CLICK"" the doors lock and one of his henchmen puts a gun to his head...

Then they REJECT you

fixed; for your viewing pleasure ;)

Apart from shooting, Huddlestone has one hell of a shot.

Hopefully Fulham is one, otherwise looks like just O'Hara we'll nab from you?

It's all arranged and sorted for him to be officially transfered at the end of the month. It'll be all done and dusted in about a week!

The window hasn't opened yet, that's all. Seems to all be agreed in principle.

Fair enough, I didn't realise that different countries in Europe had different windows.

Seems a bit harsh when ours opened back in May? (according to Wiki)

Yeah we're one and the same.

Huddlestone is very talented and in my opinion could and should be moulded into a CB. He very plainly isn't mobile enough to be a CM... with his passing and physical size he could be superb. He's lazy both physically and mentally though.

I thought the transfer Window was pretty much global nowadays. Negotiations can go on at any time but official transfers can go on between Jul & August

AFAIK, players can sign at anytime however they can only be registered to play from July.

In other words, the timing of the transfer window isn't holding up the Ronaldo deal, it's just everything hasn't been finalised yet.

Yep, deals can be agreed at any point but the transfer of the player can only take place during a transfer window.

Real Madrid will reportedly insert a buy-out clause of £1bn in winger Cristiano Ronaldo's contract when he completes his move from Manchester United (Daily Telegraph).
from todays bbc transfer gossip, £1bn is ridiculous.

I believe it's a legal requirement in Spain to have a buy out clause in a contract so that amount is just a spoiler:)

laughs - just give up

Ronaldo was undoubtedly a goal machine - but he was also VERY selfish, and if anything he wasted a huge percentage of goal chances because he took it on himself rather than passing to a better placed player (just look at all the free kicks he wasted)

With Rooney in his rightful place preferably behind Aguero (who I think is a lot more promising than Benzi) and Valencia supplying more assists but a few goals here and there, I think those main two could regularly be scoring 40-50 goals per season between them (baring injury)

I have to say though, I really dont think Utd will get either Benz or Aguero - but its nice to dream
