Whoo, bought a credit crunch flat with a difference

Really like the floor plan, excellent use of the building layout so maximise potential.

But I have to say this. Central Vacuum systems are the bane of the universe.

The junction points are always in a place that makes it extremely difficult (When furniture is present) to clean the room properly. In fact the extra long hose you normally have to get is more of a pain then dragging behind a hoover on rollers. But the type of person you would be selling this on too (if you decided to move) would be looking for something like that.

And we all know dressing room is code for the place the Mrs keeps all the clothes and shoes she bought but never wears.

I'd be tempted to lose bedroom 4, the en-suite and dressing room and have it nice and open.

For a couple that would be my suggestion aswell, also looking at the entrance lobby I would probably block off the stairs and use the area there as a porch or something.

I'm not sure if it would be feasible but once you've made it habitable could you remortgage(probably not the correct term in this case as you've not got a mortgage to start with) some of it to free up some cash

My plan is to do it up and get a mortgage as soon as its finished, I do have a few ideas on how I will finance the construction until then.

Wow, wasn't aware you could pay that much for apartments in Chesterfield. Which end of town is it in?

Holymoorside

EDIT, I did think about making bedroom 4 a little smaller but I dont want to get rid of the room.

Drive through Chesterfield most weekends :)

I love build logs, so please take lots of pictures Paras :)

Looking forward to it, I really enjoy things like this.

Those flats look awesome! Nice work :)

Dressing Rooms... o.O Why not just get dressed in the bedroom? :)

Grats :)

Because having clothes/wardrobes in a bedroom is a messy cluttered affair. Always liked having my dressing room separate to my bedroom personally.

Paras - that place is huge! I am not sure people realise just how big 6300sq ft is for a residential property. Your average 3 bed 70's semi is approximately 1000-1200sq ft for reference! My biggest house is not even 2000sq ft. Jealous++!
