what the front and what's the back of a coin?

Indeed. Anyone who says otherwise is clearly talking out of their back side. :o

don't think anyone is saying otherwise, I'm not saying i was right just what i always thought, the front of the coin identify the coin with markings and the back as standard has the head. i can see my thought was wrong and not arguing that

It was a (really terrible) joke. :D

I've no problem with the Heads side being the front but I've always thought the opposite too, so you're definitely not alone _Jimlad_!

The tails side as being the coin's design and value with the head on the reverse to show it's genuine/British (or just English..? Are Scottish and Welsh coinage the same?) currency.
