Attacking players have always been given more credit, paid better and people are willing to pay more for.
Yes. Ronaldo probably is worth 4x what most players are worth. It's not right.
Falmini and Diarra are very good defensive mids
Hargreaves would be, if he wasn't a cripple.
Pirlo, plays defensive mid.
Gattuso isn't past it, a few more years in him.
De Rossi is a good player.
Zambrotta is very good in DM, (not in drunken)
Essien is better then Mash, imo, not by much, but by enough.
Is he eck worht 4x more than any other player.

I agree with you, and I would agree that Essien is better than Mascherano, but I don't think any of the other players there are that close to Masch or Essien.

Zambrotta - Just no again, he's a FB. Hence why he's played DM like what 10 times
Essien - maybe better, but again is a box to box player.
Essien is better then Masch, by a little bit, probbaly the same amount Mash is better then Diarra ect ect,

You're entitled to your opinion obviously, but it just seems a little far fetched to me. Never mind, I'll agree to disagree.
They don't play in the "best league in the world" or for Liverpool.

You know what's funny... If someone would have mentioned Flamini as being one of the best DMs in the world prior to his 1 good season at Arsenal and his move to Milan they would have been laughed at, hard.
He is no where near Mascherano, not even close. The only reason he got rated so highly in the season before last is because of his partnership with Cesc and let's not forget he was very close to moving to Birmingham of all places that year

As a Spurs fan though, I'm used to us paying over the odds so can totally see someone paying 30m+ for him.

If you think the reason we're talking up Mascherano is because he plays for Liverpool then I suggest you look at all the Man United fans in this thread doing the same.
