Right can someone explain to me how this farce of a chessboard works or am I just that dense?

It's 4x4 but the bit of paper with good luck written on it is only 2x4?

this is driving me insane now

i got paper (says button and 10 degrees?)
been in the suitecase, put 2 batterys in pen light (need a third?) i have a safe, and 2 panels, left panel is open, the right will not open, a socket on the wall, and a board in the corner that comes up?

it's not 10 degrees it's ten seconds, on the right panel hold the button down for 10 seconds, yes you need a 3rd battery, try messing with that plug socket

Right panel hold button for 10 seconds. Socket on the wall use the pen knife to pull the casing off then use the screwdriver on the pen knife to unscrew the plug thing. Board in the corner put the gold brick on it and slice the wire with the knife.

On the piece of paper that says GOODLUCK, this is what letters attach

GD
OC
OU
LK

The UV light shows up

OD=B4
LU=A2
CK=D2
GO=D3

How do I put all this together?

so on the 'chess board'

light up..

D2, A3, A1, C3, and the 4 from above.. (from the paper, that you've typed in)

How the **** do you work that out? Mine won't have it.

There's equations all over the walls and floors (4 to be exact)
All equations relate to the word good luck
When you shine the UV on the good luck message it shows the link between the letters
Get some paper write

GOOD
LUCK

and replace the letters with the co-ordinates from the equations

eg if GO = A3 and OD = D2

A3 D2
LU CK

then replace the rest...

When you shine the UV on the good luck message it shows the link between the letters eg G linking with D [if it was the example above it would be A - 2.. ] do this for the rest and input it into the chessboard safe along with the codes from the piece of paper from the radio... this will make 8 codes.... didn't read over this message so if it didn't make sense

I thought the 10 had to do with the safe. So, I turned it to ten and pushed the button. Then turned it to 50 and pushed the button.

and from memory the otherone is inside the safe
