1p/2p's in a 4.5ltr Bells Bottle.

How accurate are the machines at hsbc? I was sure I put more than 4 £1's in, and im sure I put some £2's in. Bit gutted tbh:p

My parents have got one of these and its basically full now. Its funking heavy! I remember when I was younger if I wanted some sweets from the shop I would lug it into the front room and poor it all out over the floor and leave it :D

Did you take your bottle in Timmeh? or did you put them in bags?

Im with Barclays and when I asked about these machines in my local branch they told me to go to Tesco's

Tipped the bottle into my rucksack, took it in, tipped it all into the machine, looked like a tramp probably.

/care

I wonder if the machine actually accepts £2 coins though. I was sure I put a couple in. I guess they're accurate though as it just weighs it?

Just phoned Barclays customer services and they don't know if any of the Birmingham branches have these machines.

anyone know if Lloyds TSB have them?
All my local ones don't. If you've got enough to make it worth your while, just bag it up :)

Then take it to your own bank that you have an account with (some banks can get funny about you taking in money to them when you don't actually have an account with them... I got asked when I paid mine in if I had an account with them before they accepted it) and just pay it in.

They've got to take it apparently ;)

Any 10p, 20p, 50p or the occasional £1 just goes on my Oyster card now if I'm at work. The change never really covers me for travel for very long, but it's an easy way to get rid of it.

Though I do have small bag of 1ps, 2ps and 10ps at home. Not really got a lot in it, but I'm sure I counted it the other month and there was something like £8 in there. Doesn't seem worth it really but I hate carrying around change and hardly ever use any 1ps, 2ps or 10ps so may as well collect them.

i have a shoebox with only £10 notes in :) been collecting it for about 6months now and have no idea how much is in there.
