the hint is not the coin but the material its made of. China and russia (and many other countries) want a replacement to the dollar as the world reserve currency, because they don't trust the US to not print it into oblivion (rightly so), and they have been calling for much greater gold reserves and even a gold backed reserve currency.
When china and russia are openly talking about replacing the dollar you know it won't last much longer as the reserve currency.

It's not a "world currency", it's to replace the dollar as reserve currency. Normal people wont use it and the current currencys would remain.

The worlds economy would fail miserably if there was to be a single currency. Time after time there has been evidence provided for this and yet you still continue to post threads supporting a NWO with its own currency.

It's not going to happen because it's unsustainable.

probably will happen

though not really as a new world/reserve currency - dollar will remain the dominant ccy

more it will happen simply because Russia and China want it to happen (maybe getting support from brazil and india) - wouldn't put it past them to try and introduce something like this in a few years time - though will at best have the same impact on the dollar as say the euro has on the dollar in terms of being a dominant ccy

Not going to Happen, you can use the US Dollar in some countries that doesn't use it "officially", no way this will get to that level.

Gold isn't a reserve currency it is a commodity these days. The real problem with a world reserve currency is that there is nothing to back it. With the current reserve currencies you have the economy behind the currency that backs it, that wouldn't be the case with this. The dollar will eventually fall out of favour but it will do it in the same way as the pound did, slowly and over time with another big currency taking it's place.

You don't need one currancy to have control over a people's money, indeed one currancy won't actually help that. Cashless payment will become a reality, but thats a reflection of current technology rather than any conspiracy. Your money can already be frozen if your part of an ongoing police investigation.

Prorbably the Euro considering the stength of the Eurozone, indeed, a reserve currency is only as strong as the economy or country that backs it.
