**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

For a Man Utd fan obviously.

Tevez and Robinho just behind Adebayor as the target man, would be interesting if they gelled.

He isn't worth the price they've paid I bet.

I'm glad he's gone, and i've said it since he was at the club. I never rated him once.

I would have much rather played any of our younger strikers than Tevez.
I will gladly watch Owen score more than him this season, and he was free.

Looks like ade to man city is nearly completed now.

I expect he will be a city player by tomorrow afternoon.

Could be a blessing in disguise as i HOPE eduardo is now a regular upfront.

Ashley young to arsenal funded by ades departure???

How many games has Eduardo played in for Arsenal? Arsenal fans on this board seem to be placing a lot of faith in a player that, afaik, has done very little in the game. I know he was looking promising before that terrible injury, but so was Reyes for a few months before his career just collapsed.

They could have had £30million+ from AC Milan for him last season. Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh Arsene.

As for Tevez, i'm annoying to see him become a bluenose, but at the same time he didnt bag that many goals, if we can replace him with a good striker such as Etoo etc then great - if we're replacing him with Macheda and Wellbeck then i have to question SAF.

Also, to prove Tevez is a hypocrit "Mr Starting XI Guarranteed" - how are you going to get guarranteed footy with Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Robinho in the team with Elano and SWF behind. You cant.

Can't see Santa Cruz being happy with that. Also, with De Jong, Ireland and Kompany in centre mid (plus whatever big name they sign), where does that leave Elano, SWP, Bellendamy, etc? City have over bought IMO.

they only really have Bellamy, Robinho, Cruz and Tevez right now, all the others are on their way out. When you consider Bellamy is a chronically injured player of late, Robinho plays on the wing and Tevez has loads of the time played the wing in his career for country, old club, west ham and only really not a winger at Utd for a short time, but at the same time in no way at all being a upfront finisher.

With Elano having no consistancy and SWP being ineffective for most of the season, I think we could easily end up seeing Tevez play the wing fairly often, Robinho as a winger aswell you only have 2 real strikers and one injury prone and the other having come off a heavily injury plagued season one more striker doesn't seem much of a stretch at all.

Just pray Arsenal put the money in the right places, no need for a striker at all, we desparately need 2 DM's, how gutted would we be to buy a 10-20mil DM, have him get injured and be right back where we were all last season. We need a quality DM ready for first team and a maybe 19-21yr old backup cheapo guy who has the potential to be good in the future, and no Song doesn't count.

I think Arsenal should look at Marcos Senna, i know Arsene isnt a fan of old players but the guy is seriously class, will give you control and poise in the midfield along with his experience in big games.

don't forget they lost Vassell

Hes gone to a Turkish outfit hasn't he?

So its not offical then with the Adebyor move but I guess its close to happening. They have him, hes crap. Arsenal will do some good business if they finally get shot of him :p

170k a week!!!! Jesus.

I personally think he's a good player. Season before last when he worked his socks of there aren't many better. Last season his work ethic was missing, he still scored goals, but was less of a team player.

However he is never worth 170k a week! Thats a take home of over 100k! £22m is a great deal for us.

I think Tevez going to Man City is a very bad move for him.

He said he wanted first team football yet he is going to City where they now have forward attacking players like Santa Cruz, Robinho, Bellamy, Elano, SWF and (maybe) Adebayor.
