EA pretty much admit BF3 is coming

Looks like bf3 is on its way. If you cant be arsed to listen to all the clip skip to 2.30min and listen to the end......

I’m a huge BF fan, gutted none of my mates play it anymore so gets a little boring on my own :(. We already have a really successful clan in CSS our server is always full, we have full members which pay £6/month to be admin only by invitation so when BF3 does come out we will be getting a server straight away!!!

Not watched the clip but yeah, some guy from EA let slip in an interview a few weeks back, around E3?, that he'd been over to DiCE and seen BF3 running. Said it looked pretty good.

TBH if they just pretty much re-did BF2 with the latest frostbite engine, fixed all the bugs and issues, new maps, weapons, etc and bought over some of the improved squad stuff from BF2142, I'd be happy. Oh, and maybe 128 player battles. :eek:

I probably only paid about £20 to £30 quid for BF2 on launch and am still playing it four years later, so won't feel too ripped off paying another £30 just to get a facelift. :)
 
Couldn't agree more tbh! i literallCouldn't agree more tbh! i literally only got into PC gaming after I moved in with my wife, BF2 was a game a bought for £9.99 lol not expecting much… lets just say it almost cost me marriage b4 I released I had a problem haha! Na it really is the true battlefield experience if you ask me. I to would be more than happy if they re-did BF2 with high end GFX and all the good bits.

However got to say if I could chose a few things for them to bring in to bf3 would be:

• Keep the same rank and medal system (far out beats COD4’s system IMO)
• Re-make Karkand and wake.
• OMG ABOVE ALL ELSE: Keep the TV guided missile thing they have on the choppers… wow!

People have known about this for months. There were rumours around that it was in development because the hardcore fans found out EA owned the battlefield3 domain. Then the community manager Gavin (maybe) said on a BF-pc message board (4,5 months back?) that there is going to be a announcment, in the near future, you will all like. Then that the other month that guy said its being developed and due to be out in the next fiscal year (hopefully).
 
I fear my career will decline if the BF3 happens. Spent a lot of fun times on BF2.
 
Some of my fondest gaming memories are from BF2. I expect BF3 will be no exception when it comes to pure awesomeness.

I too hope they keep the same ranking and medal system, and perhaps expands on the whole kit system. I'd love to be able to customise my loadout Ghost Recon style.
 
I wish they would redo BF Vietnam, absolutely loved that game. Would be so good on the new engine.
 
I may actually have to buy a PC when BF3 comes out!

My, that was a great summer when BF2 came out! Very fond memories on that game! Bad Company was great and Battlefield 1943 is tiding me over until the next installments!
 
bf2 as it is now *not played latest patch* with improved graphics and destructable scenery F-T-W!!!

Indeed.
I would rather see more support for the modding community (which will be huuuuge regardless if DICE/EA dont supoort them).

I would love to see some of the current mod projects for BF2 converted over to frostbite engine (Battlefield Pirates, lush green environments :D, Forgotten Hope 2 and the destructible environments aswell as other great mods).

Personally i would like to see the game in the modern setting but perhaps in the future by like 10-20 years so stuff that isnt avaiable now could be available this includes weapons and vehciles and perhaps environments.
More squad system being changed to something better.
Tactics of the whole gameplay changed a little bit so different types of gameplay can be achieved.
Obviously all the other good stuff, graphics overhaul, sufficient netcode, destructible environments, lots of weapons and vehicles.
