With P55 fast approaching I thought it best to start an thread posting some snippets on the MSI P55 boards which are set to be the next biggest thing to launch since X58.

MSI will have 3 boards in order of price, highest and top spec first:

  • P55-GD80
  • P55-GD65
  • P55-DC45

P55-GD65

Hopefully this will follow the trend of the P35 & P45 MSI boards before it and be a lot cheaper than the ASUS & Giga's yet have just as many features, equal build quality and clock really well.

i don't like MSI personaly and whats with the cat o.O

don't mean to say i wouldn't buy one through if the boot fits over asus or gigabyte.

I bad past expirances(bad) with MSI boards

All the PC's i've built in the last 2 years I've built with MSI boards, and they've all been bullet proof reliable and tweak really well too.
If you look about they've won some good awards for performance combined with value, and unlike some companies they support their boards with BIOS updates even after the generation has been superceeded.

I would certainly consider them.

my last MSI sept for the K7 to keep another PC in serivce was a K9 for AM2 and the north bridge wasen't working too well o.O, and that K7 is acting wired as well

this was going back a while saying that, I would consder them again one day, if asus are too expesnive ( I don't like the colour on gigabyte)

maybe you guys can persade me to buy a MSI ?:P for my next rig of course, net messing about with my current as it works and well= leave it
