Will You Buy Windows 7???

unless most enthusiasts have pre ordered it, remember we still have the £70 offer to go.
And most ever people will upgrade when they buy there computer.
I can see the market being completely saturated.

ebay will be flooded by October.. bringing the price down, come Jan there wont be a cheap copy to be had, pushing the price back up

yes thats if stock is avaliable. if stock is at a shortage on release. then prices will be inflated on ebay

Yep and people hoping to sell home premium for close to £150 in january will be disappointed. People will be stocking up on home premium at £75 until then hoping to do exactly the same thing. I reckon on auction sites in January the price will barely flinch above £80 and then you have fees (10% or so) to contend with as well as delivery.

Professional is different though. Going from £90 to £180 already and then probably £210 in january.

Also, when people say there is no remote desktop. You can still use a remote desktop client right? Because I currently use one on my current vista hp installation.

Some still seem to have the £50 HP and £90 PRO. Now this is either because of:

a) They have a huge allocation (even more then the 2 big e-tailers).
b) People just dont buy from them.
c) They have screwed up and wont honner the price as they have taken no money.

As much as I hope not (as I've had to buy from them), I'm guessing 'C' is most likely. :(

I don't think anyone who loads up on copies to resell later is going to make a lot of profit. Many, many, people have had the same idea.

You'll want to remove competitor.

But it will almost certainly be A and B I would have though.
they are a huge name, but enthusiast don't buy from them. let's be honest it's only enthusiasts which will buy these.

Same reason why another store has them. Large name but enthusiasts wouldn't buy from them under normal circumstances.

blimey, i dont think anybody was expecting a price rise like that. thats a bit cheeky

What you on about they said there was limited quantitys at the special price, some shops have sold all their allocation so the price on the site's have gone to the price of the next batch. Fair to say no one expected it sell so well that they would only last a day or so.

what are you on about? nobody has any stocks, its pre-order! and of course the initial '150' copies of HP on one site, if indeed it really was 150 copies, was going to sell. do you really think people werent that interested in 7? we've been going on about it since .7000 beta was leaked, its had huge attention!

Well I've just ordered HP at the £45 price banding, as had been said above I think some of the places probably aren't the first stop for a lot of people, with the main e-tailor being their first stop, hence them running out of stock.
