***The Official Nokia N97 Thread (Keep all N97 stuff in here)***

Im having major issues updating my n97 im doing it through the system suite software updater and it goes from 15 minutes to 14 then disconnects and reconnects a lot then just sits and it occasionally drops to 8 minutes and on one occasion it got to 1 second remaining. Any ideas anyone?

I rung O2 a few days ago and they said they weren't doing them at all. :confused:

They told me to ring CPW and do it through them. But they wont be doing the N97 on the O2 network for a few months.
 
New Firmware has been released for the unbranded N97s. App Vodafone should have their software out within the next few days.

There are only 2 pages :)
One with icons/widgets etc and the other for those who don't want a load of stuff on their screen and want to see their wallpaper.
 
I have taken several photos using my N97 but I cannot view them with the phone as they are not showing in the captured items or albums.

They are definately on the phone as I have managed to transfer them to my pc.

Anyone got any ideas?

I find the touch screen better then my old Iphone,
 
Well I think I may have just parted company with Vodafone :mad:

Every single year I ring up for an upgrade, go through the same old rigramole of asking for my PAC code to be sent when they can't even come close to some of the deals you'd expect and then I get a call as my PAC code arrives offering me the exact deal I wanted.

Why oh why do they have to waste my time every bloody year. I tell this to the robot on the end of the phone and she says I can assure you you will not get this phone for free on anything less than £40 per month... erm - then why have lots of people being doing just that???

**** you and your arrogant call center workers and i'll finally get a iPhone as much as I wanted to try the N97!!!
 
Is anyone having any problems with the N97 - mine locks up, keeps locking as I open up applications, slows right down, needs resetting etc etc.
 
strange, mine was ok, had issues, now is ok - its the unreliability thats getting me - takes ages to switch applications etc.
 
I don't seem to have an issue with mine. The only "active" widget I have running is the Nokia Messaging, which checks emails every hour. If you have Weather and/or Facebook I would recommend you close them - it might help speed things up.

Also, check out the Handy Taskman program which shows all the open applications and RAM usage :)
