Ford Focus Zetec. TERRIBLE.

My brother had a 1.7d( i think mk3) and that was up there with the worst car I've ever been in. Dash was made from plastic comparable to the likes of my old lego sets. It had no power, even on boost. It ended up having to have half the engine redone and was still just as slow.

My workmate drives a 1.8 3 door mk4 and although the dash is still bland and plastic....it isn't the worst and it seems a nice improvement. I then learned to drive in a mk5 1.6 which was equally plastic and bland with nice big buttons to remind me of when i was at nursery. The engine made more noise with not a lot of increase in speed, seemed to go flat at some points in the rev range and the brakes were like physically poking the disc with a bit of fire wood. Loads of feel.......

The MK2/3 were shockingly bad, then again so was the last 2 MK's (4 and 5) of the Escort.

Awesome thread, keep em coming:p

I would be very surprised if the brakes on any 09 car could be described as terrible.

Sounds to me like there was something wrong with it.

I beleive todays Toyota Camry 'Sportivo' redefines the concept of 'no feel' through the steering. Even the Mk3 Astra cannot be this bad :(

If its like the 2009 Corola I had in Orlando, you can lick the wheel to steer its so light.

It is terrible to drive and I'm bitterly upset about being stuck with it for the next 12 days. Seriously this is a crap car.
Do you have an XV40 Camry (i.e. 2006 onwards)?

I do, yes. It is a 2.4i VVTi Automatic. I've covered 140km in it so far and it's really NOT a good car. If this is reflective of other Toyotas then I can't imagine them having a single good model in the range. Seriously, I'd place many Vauxhalls above this. Everything about it is barely average or poor and I'm not being a BMW driving elitist because I really rated the Ford I had last week.

The exterior styling is good though - its a pretty handsome car.

Hopefully GM will be in administration soon, thus ridding the roads of boring overpriced tat in the form of any Vauxhall I've had the misfortune of looking at excluding the Lotus Carlton & VX220. The Insignia is a step in the right direction though, but not enough IMO

Funny that most of the Vauxhall range now are near the top of their respective car classes though.

I bet you drive a Punto ;)
