Finished Martian Successor Nadesico which was good and funny.

Watched the first few episodes of Aoi Hana, (laid back lesbianism), ... the main character reminded me of Yomi from Azumanga Daioh but that was probably just due to her glasses. Also the latest episode of Time of Eve and the first couple of episodes of Gendai Mahou all via CR.

edit: I've been following Time of Eve via CrunchyRoll and it's a nice little series although it would be nice if there was a bit more actual plot in each episode. Visually it's very good though.

This Spice and Wolf is quite good althogh all the money talk goes over my head most of the time lol. It reminds me of Scrapped Princess allot axcept without the Sci Fi element to it.

Any recommendations for a top quality anime, no mechas where they take ages with their moves lol or similar. Preferably something to do with space, demons or a good quest. Something that is fully out and in english too please.

English - nooo, blasphamy.
english , some of the below might work and I'm not 100% certain over dvd releases
space - soul link, rocket girls, glass fleet, heroic age, banner of the stars, macross

demons - venus versus virus, ayakashi, blassreiter

good quest - utawaremono (sp), chronicles of tsubasa, elemental gelade,

as has already been mentioned

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - a great little title thats quite relaxed to watch. I only wish Production I.G. had animated the first two seasons instead of Bee Train :(.

Elemental Gelade - a nice litlte series and underrated imo. Nothing ground breaking but does what it means to well.

I think the DVD release for Rocket Girls is sub only and Glass Fleet ain't that great in my opinion :) ... Nadesico is sci-fi and has a dub track and I think Coyote Ragtime Show has too. Kiddygrade is a good sci-fi series too.

On the quest front I'd echo Utawaremono, having watched it the other day, and Tsubasa.

Just seen Guyver 2005 edition. Much as i liked it i miss some of the cooler bits from the original. Was far more fleshed out tho. And apparently more faithful to the manga i.e the sidekick was not the las but the lad. Hope they make a season 2 as it really needs it.

Yeah I really loved the 2005 version as it was more faithful to the Manga material and wished that they had carried on with another season. They just got to the Gigantic Guyver phase of the story and they had to end it there! I really would love to see Guyver III in Gigantic mode in animated form.

I absolutely could NOT stand the newer Guyver series. I know it was truer to the manga but that fat git narrating everything that was going on drove me bonkers.

Has anyone got the Ghost in the shell 2.0 special edition 4 disc box. Im considering getting it but want to know whats on these discs

What 4 disk box? ... the JP release looks to be 3 blu-ray disks (appears to include new version of the film, original version and audio cd on the blu-ray edition at least (according to Rainforest JP)).

I have the single disk JP blu-ray release and most of the updates on the film are ok but I'm not sure it'd justify spending a great deal on (single disk versions look to be out in the UK at the end of October at the moment).

its definatly a 4 disc edition its 87 quid on ****asia

It's the same item that Rainforest JP list as three disks ... looking around it would appear that you get:

Ghost in the Shell 2.0 film
Ghost in the Shell (original) film
Making of disk
Audio CD

Note that the 2.0 film should have English subs, the original film "may" have English subs but it's not for certain and the Making of disk probably won't have English subs. Traditionally with JP releases any English subs are only on the main feature and are not on extras or menus, (although blu-ray menus appear to be ok so far).

The "Bioboosted armour" one? I don't remember any fat git narrating...

I watched it all and quite enjoyed it, there was a lot more to it than the Guyver OVA.

The "Bioboosted armour" one?

In the newer one the protagonist has his friend following him about. He provides narration on events occurring (lots of internal dialogue).

Character narration really grinds my gears for some reason.

Anyway onto an anime of quality: Bakemonogatari

I can wholeheartedly recommend this series. It's witty, sexy and captivating. The OP is damn addictive. STAPLE STAPLE.

Oh I think I know what you mean, I guess I didn't notice it as much. But now that you mention it he was a bit annoying.
