I did and transferred the licences for the DLC thats how I then moved the saves from the HD to the MTU (old 360 was a launch model premium with no MTU).

Good to know you can transfer most stuff over easily enough.
On a side note I didnt know people glitched their gamerscores with game svaes - guess I'm a high class whore then who actually enjoys working through games himself

Game saves are linked to a profile, just copying them from one xbox to another doesn't transfer it to a new profile.
Yes it does, transfered all my mates save games using my profile and it changed the owner of them all to me. Played his Oblivion save once just to prat about and turns out the only achivement I have for this game is to open an Oblivion gate lol.

There are rare circumstances where the achievement data is copied along with old data, and very few modern games will let you transfer saves from one account to another. Usually you can only unlock new achievements.
MS have really tightened the rules that developers have to work by around this area since Oblivion, and other titles that were out around release (DOA4 has a similar issue).
No idea, this was years ago now. Just have one random achievement from the middle of the game cos I decided to play it.
That wouldn't happen these days.

Did you actually do the action that was required for the achievement though?
If you copied the save and got an achievement like "found 100% of x object" or "40 hours game play done" I'd be extremely surprised.
Last time I had the opportunity to check, the MS rule around this was that you cannot benefit from the progress that another person has put in.
Generally, almost all devs were just locking out all the achievements on transferred saves. It might have changed since then though.

So this small exploit that only occurs on a tiny number of very early titles is how all the top achievement exploiters manage to get hundreds of thousands of GS?
