My new pen

Actually, the exact same level of controversy was caused in a thread about someone who had bought one of those keyboards with customisable OLED keys.

I so want the new version of that

Sooo awesome, but something like 1k :(

That is pretty awesome. Could never justify that price though. Ever.

They'll come down in price. If it was £125 I would snap one up ;)

Tbh though as oled and touch screens come down in price i can see that becoming the new input device for computers.

Image how much fun a WoW player could have making all his unique iconed macro keys.

jut think you could have a porn key!

Definitely, everything is going touch screen, but for certain tasks ;) hands are best kept away from the screen. I can definitely see all keyboards taking this form.

It would just be a huge splat key right in the middle. :D

No I just don't waste my money on stupid ****.

I suggest you leave your political agenda at the door, seems you have some kind of issue with Africa (given your sig)

It's his money, he spent it on what he likes. I think it's a lovely pen, I personally wouldn't spend that kind of money on such an item, but thats up to him.

I also think that the benefits of a £100+ keyboard/mouse combo do not warrent that kind of spending, but each to their own.

I have pushing £500 worth of airsoft kit. A pointless purchase to many people, but not to me.

I feel I have to apologise for questioning said pen purchase because quite frankly it was unintentionally hypocritical of me to do so! I just realised that I have indeed spent £50+ on just 2 metres of speaker cable in the past because to my ears it gave a better sound in the same regard as to the expensive pen giving you better writing satisfaction and comfort.

So yeah, fair play :D

P.S. Op never posted his handwriting with new pen, no point posting about anew pen and not showing us the output :p

What on earth are you insinuating!?

I agree that a Bic pen may not give the right image, but what's wrong with a Parker? :p

;)

Nothing wrong with a Parker, but the OP wanted something nicer :)

It's like Skoda, they are ostensibly VWs but people still see them as Skodas yet pay more to have a VW :p

but inside the pen, the refill will be a parker, so how is it any different? :p

it's like having a BMW interior with a peugeot engine.
oh wait, that's a mini :o

I bought a Lamy Studio in Pearl White last year for £45, and I use it a lot, even though it uses the same refills as Lamy's £10 offering, its nice to use and is really well designed, apart from when i dropped it.....and the paint is chipping :( I'm looking at Faber Castell's now since they look really nice and weighted.

I'm a lefty too so rollerball only for me (ballpoint sucks though!)

It is like getting those extra shiny cufflinks, or an expensive watch, or any other accessory, a good pen is always a very satisfying purchase and very good to use.

What do you guys think of this :

BMW interior on a mini? let's not get too excited now...!

My kb and mouse together cost around the same as the op's pen, but like him they are things I use a lot everyday and i can safely say they are 2 of the best purchases I've ever made. The extra cost gets so much extra quality you really notice when you use them a lot.

Love them (mx revolution, and Razer Lycosa) so much :D

Exactly, we all have something we're willing to pay more for for the enjoyment we get from them :)
