**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

not really, the level of care he will get and the fact it says its only one side of his lower leg means a relatively quick healing period.

It will be a mental issue more than physical.

Nasri is horrible, absolutely horrible on the right, not quite sure why, he played there like 2 games this season and couldn't get a single thing right. Thing is if Rosicky stays fit and gets any form I see him and Arshavin being our main wingers this season, along with Fabregas in the middle and Denilson or Song alongside him.

A little worried Wenger will decide to keep Fabregas in that attacking mid position with two DM's behind him, like Liverpool, as he sucked being that far forward with two idiots behind him.

I just really have no idea which way Wengers going to go this season as it was all out panick formations towards the end of the season, two dm's and Fab out of position, drop out year long DM for our midget slow winger, then switch him out for Song. Diaby started his first games of the season as a withdrawn striker, then on the wing, then as an attack central mid, then a DM.

I honestly just can't even guess who Wenger might buy and for what position and who he'll play where.

I know, the little people in the dark shadows who watch you all the time told me to say it to you ;)

Damn I better delete that hidden folder on my HDD then :D

Anywho back on topic are Liverpool or Utd concerned by City ???

I wouldn't expect Fergie to say anything other than what he has said. It will be interesting to see how it pans out for them with no Euro distractions.

dm you're so annoying, you call Nasri horrible on the right and still rate Eboue there? Nasri is easily one of Arsenal's best players, stop slagging him off.

That's a bit dismissive of Chelsea, isn't it? ;)

As for the question; no, not really. They've got a lot of good players but no top class players. Given's a decent keeper, their defense is still way behind the top 3, they're solid in midfield but not spectacular and they've got a few good strikers but none of them you would really fear. But their biggest problem is their manager; not only isn't he good enough but he clearly doesn't have any control at the club.

SSN again showing how amazing they are :

13.17 South Africa midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi admits he will have to wait and see if Fulham choose to make his trial permanent.

How about the fact that the trial was supposed to take place whilst on our Australian tour, and even that didnt happen because he's got work permit and visa problems.

try reading what I said, he's pretty damn good on the left which is mostly where he plays, he's outstanding in the middle and pushed up where pace is less of an issue. Watch some games, he played on the right maybe twice and was very very poor.

AT no point did I say he was bad, I think he's a fantastic little player only being screwed by simply being not as good as the truly superb Arshavin, he's not good on the right, its as simple as that.

Nasri can use both feet extremely well and i think he can be just as effective on the right as on the left. Same as Arshavin really.

But you said he can't play on the wings because he's not fast enough :(? He's one of the fastest players at the club though. Also, he's easily good enough for a first XI spot, he's better than Walcott and Arshavin really needs to be pushed up top, leaving 2 wide positions free for him to pick from.

But Nasri, as much as I like him, I'm not really seeing a spot in the first team for him myself so not a huge problem . I personally don't see him as fast enough for the wing

I have no idea why he's bad on the right, but theres a reason he's barely played there, and a reason why hell, even Walcott was played on the right instead of Nasri when Arshavin was on the left. I can't tell you why, some players are just horrible on one wing, I honestly can't remember what game it was but he messed up every pass, cross, run, dribble.

I don't see the problem, people practice in one position for years, and years and years. Nasri even said he'd be happy playing DM and didn't mention prefering to play on the right.

I feel sorry for him, the way the squads shaping up he's never going to be first team, Arshavin just came and blew him out of the water, he's just way to good to not be played whenever possible. Though personally I'd play Nasri left, Arshavin right and no Theo, instead of Arshavin left/Theo right.

Problem is Arshavin is best through the middle and works best on the left if he "has" to be on the wing because his game is cutting in and crossing/shooting with his right. We've got a squad of loads of fantastic players but far to many general central attackers being pushed out of position. We've got about 10 guys who could play central attacking mid or withdrawn striker, its getting ridiculous.

EDIT:- no, he's not fast enough for the wing to be a truly world class out and out player there, he can be good, just not brilliant there. He "does" a player but can't pull away from them like Ronaldo or a whole host of other players could, one of the fastest at the club, not even close tbh. If you compare a Nasri to a Young/Malouda/Ronaldo, frankly, he's very slow compared to them, its why his best games have all been right behind the main striker. Those games post the 4 draws he played withdrawn striker and the team was fantastic, clicked perfectly and he was man of the match. In two of those games he was annonymous in the first half on the wing, pushed into the middle and was the best player on the pitch. Theres an incredibly clear difference between his effectiveness in those two positions.
