How many calories were in your lunch today?

Rice Krispie Square = 118
Pie = 649
Ham butty = 300ish

= 1067

Not bad going just for lunch, just about to tuck into a pot of Xtreme Smokin Ribs pringles and a Wham bar

Some serious calories being eaten by people on here. I never look at calories, just the fat content. I cant believe some 'salads' in my local tesco metro have 45grams of fat

Isnt the RDA of fat 90grams for men and women?
Calories is 2k for women and 2.5k for men?

Something like that, but remember it doesn't take in to account body size, how much physical work you put your body through, and so on.

thonk its like 88.7 grams of fat for the rda of an adult.

it's ridculous how much fat and carbs some things contain, especially when it's saturated fats :/.

Marks and Spencer do a burger now with 1147 calories, hope it wasn't a few of those :p

Indeed, even more ridiculous when you consider that most people have absolutely no valid reason at all for buying and eating processed convenience foods. Everyone has the time to eat properly, they just don't bother. it would take less than 10 minutes to prepare a decent lunch the night before to take to work in tupperware boxes or similar, but for most people that's 10 minutes of tv they are missing out on...

And a lot of people here are eating something for lunch, and then eating crisps or a chocolate bar after... why? Who allowed you/how have you allowed yourself to develop this awful eating pattern? Or are you all just overgrown kids who need sweets all the time? It boggles my mind that there are 35 year old men out there tucking into DoubleDeckers and Prawn Cocktail crisps...

To be honest, they know that 90 percent of people don't even read it the "what does this contain" part of the packet.

They see pictures of greens, and veg and just take that as it means it is healthy.

suppose to be eating more healthy.. having one of them days today though. Hungry none stop and had nothing in the house.

So...
Coco pops breakie Bar.. 100cals
Go ahead bar..100 cals
wotsits..100cals
mccoys..250cals.

Beens on brown bread and sausages. 250/300?
break fast roll.. dont even want to know.

Today is a failure.

Looking at that list I'm not surprised. Decent Protein will keep that feeling of 'fullness' much longer than cheap Carbs. Having eggs on wholemeal for breakie would be much better than cereal and it will probably stop you thinking about food for a lot longer. And let's be honest, how much longer does it take to scramble some eggs? Especially if you make use of a non stick pan.
