) & have covered 30ishK, 20k with super & the last 10k with normal.

Knock sensor + adaptive mapping & map-less steady state running = pretty much instant change.

Yeah but the downside is you're driving a Clio
Most ECUs will have passive knock monitoring.
They will run the preset ignition advance unless they detect knock, if knock is detected they will back the ignition timing off.
Kinf of similar to what you said, however they aren't really looking to advance ignition. Unless we are talking about the BMW M5 V10 engine which uses spark ionization to detect the knock threshold and actually run at the maximum possible ignition advance
Or you could have a '94 Trionic5 Saab 9000 which does the same thing.

no difference at all on my Speed Triple, used both with the right hand pinned and not one ounce of difference, as far as i remember theres 1 BMW bikes thats designed to run on it but other than that its pointless.

I use v power in mine, as mine is mapped to run 98 ron too. Ive only put 95 in mine once when I couldnt get super.
As Ive only ever used super, I cant really tell if there's a difference, but tbh I fill the car up once a month usually, so the extra $$ is bugger all
