He scored the most headed goals last season so he's not exactly ineffective. He'll also play well with Defoe as was proven when they played together at Portsmouth.I don't understand why crouch would fit in as we always play the ball in low and crouch isn't that effective in the air if we started.
He's Bald, He's ****, he plays when no one's fit, Pascal Cygan, Pascal Cygan
So we've had an offer accepted for Crouch and in talks with Sunderland over ditching Bent as well as having all but signed Vieira.
"This will not end our pursuit of Crouch," said Hodgson regarding the Zamora situation.
"We have spoken to Portsmouth and to the player's agent about wages and I am hopeful something will happen."
A lot of Spurs fans aren't happy about Vieira and think it's down to Harry trying to prove something. I've just read on one forum that lots of fans are saying they won't goto games if we sign himSo we've had an offer accepted for Crouch and in talks with Sunderland over ditching Bent as well as having all but signed Vieira.

I don't see the problem with signing him or any other ex-Arsenal, Chlesea or whoever players. As long as they come and do a job and give it their best.
Only player I'd never welcome at WHL in a Spurs shirt is Campbell.
How can anyone rate Cygan? Do you not remembe the songs?

JT said:I am totally committed to Chelsea, always have been. Me leaving was never a possibility.
When you are linked with any club, or with a manager who I have huge respect for, it will always make headlines.
But Chelsea have made it clear to me consistently that there was never any intention to accept any kind of offer.
I know there has been comment that I should have made a statement earlier.
However, throughout this period there have been numerous discussions between myself, the owner and the Chelsea board and we all agreed that the timing of any statement would suit everyone involved in those talks, not any outside influences or agendas.
What is clear to me following those discussions is that Chelsea's ambition remains as high as ever. This has been further proved by the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti. I am certain he will take this club to the next level.
Another important factor was knowing that Chelsea would be securing key current players for the long term. The strengthening of the squad around this core is crucial to pushing us on to greater success.
I am as committed as ever to helping drive Chelsea forward and I will be proud to lead the team for as long as I can.
You rated Cygan? The guy would often miss a 10 yard pass!
Also Upson was always a centre back, he was just used at left back as you had plenty of players ahead of him in his natural position.
I'm filling up![]()
