Thats why you are supposed to trim the roots every spring....mine died after like 2 months......wayyyy before time to cut the roots !

You can trim the roots shorter, but the quantity of roots will always grow.

Mine died a bit after I bought it, I don't think it likes the hard tap water here, so am only giving it rain water now (every day). Seems almost back to normal again
