Well a few reasons keep me here mainly the fact that i have a few financial responsibilities to take care of before i contemplate going back to Canada...dont get me wrong i like England as the diversity here is second to none...Canada is great but you wont find the amount of multi culturalism that you get here.

I have a house in Canada as it is...had it built about 3 yrs ago...my brother who went back to Canada 5 yrs ago now lives in it with his family...but im there in Canada at least 3-4 times a yr...i try to spend as much time out there as possible.

Saying that hopefully next yr or the yr after i will be living in Canada permanently.

/me rings the Daily Mail to report Von on an anti muslim rant:p:D

Another bloody exmple of us pandering to the old people. If the old people don't like it they can lump it and move abroad. The average age is increasing - this used to be a nice young country! Now all I see is old people. This is Britain and I don't see why I should have to walk around seeing Worthers original, murray mints and countdown everywhere!:mad::p;)
 
So women officers will have to wear a headcovering simply because they are women? A female british police officer has to wear a headscalf to do HER job if its relating to a certain sect of society and their religion?

I... I dont even know where to start... my ex-gf was a police officer and there is no way in hell she would be made to wear such a thing to do her job. Just the very thought of it being mentioned to her.... :eek:

For the record if you haven't noticed, I'm completely against it.

Wtf are you talking about?

You know Christianity isn't our native religion it was brought here by immigrants and conquers.

I say lets kick out all these French, German, Saxon, Italian and other imigrants oput of our country and get back to Picts and Celts.

Bloody immigrants pushing their religion and dark age views on us.

I find it funny that any thread that has something to do with Muslims, it always ends up in racist comments, yet when it's about other religions it's always quite civilised.

People say they aren't racist, but i can't help wonder if some are in denial.

I believe that we do need to build bridges with the Muslims communities, but they really aren't helping themselves. Other religions get on just fine with obeying the British law system and they don't complain. But for some strange reason some parts of the Muslim community wants to be separate from the rest of us which doesn't make sense. Why come to another country if your not going to embrace that country's way of life?

In fairness now, Christian religions dont really dictate anything. If you are respectful of going into a church (eg you dont shout your head off or bring dirty shoes in) then this just pure respect, something that you would have no matter where you go.

Wearing a headscarf however is a complex situation. Taken at face value it appears harmless, but when you delve into the situation (remember by wearing it you are appearing in a different light to them) it is no longer about respect but about submission.

The entire islamic religion/idealogy is about submission. Most of their language is very submission based.

By wearing a headscarf you are be submissive. Wrong culture for that tbh.



Whilst I am not an alarmist, I find such stuff very worrying. This is the slow slide down. What is next?
 
P.s forgot to add, people who spout of rhetoric crap like "religion should be outlawed", so read their history to see the result of religion being banned....


Not to mention that anyone who can compare Jesus and Mohammed is slightly touched.


Make a column of the things preached and done by both ;)

Which is the reason why threads about muslims are always different to threads about other religions ;)

because every Muslim in the country is part of this one homogeneous "Muslim community"?

Could it be some are willing to integrate and some aren't?

But of course treating them all separately would just be silly, best to lump them all in together.
