S-IPS OR H-IPS how to tell

which panel i have in my HP LP2475w apparently the h-ips is better panel so wondered if there was anyway i could check thanks

Apparently REV GIG 143 (manufactured March 2009) and onwards uses the H-IPS panel...

It didn't with me... as this was the fault on the 3rd LP2475w that I had.

I was under impression that they're all H-IPS. Stated so in tftcentral review before I bought my monitor.

mine is april 2009 so should be a h-ips then

I think that is a reference to the firmware and not the actual "rev" which can be found on the box or on the back of the panel on a white patch...

The monitor menu says F/W GIG 068 but on the box it says REV GIG 143.

Is there a way to upgrade the firmware ?

TFT Central were saying that this monitored had a H-IPS panel back in September last year. Perhaps this new revision is just firmware tweaks for input lag etc?

I'd say it's pretty safe to say you have the newer H-IPS panel

Are you using the default display settings ?

not changed any yet whats the best settings do you know
