Police new head scarfs

Are you for real? Go back and check my posts, what the **** is point when they are not will to listen? Understand?
Your posts are inaccurate and in some places downright wrong
1) You or anyone else here, myself included (at least no one has provide a source yet) has given any proof they are forced to wear anything, so it is a reasonable assumption that it is their choice.
2) I can tell you for a fact that muslim communities in Europe are very very different from the middle east, if it was religion that dictates the behaviour it would be universal everywhere would it not?
3) Mosque's are not like churches, they are privately funded so i suspect if the police do not have a warrant they are being 'invited' in as guests (i am sure some police/lawyer type can comment on this)

I got a 1st in my Women in Islam essay when at uni now unless you have been to uni you would know you have to provide a very balanced argument to even get near a 1st.
You can argue pigs can fly provided you use relevant sources to push your argument and it would still be just as legitimate.
I don't really see how you think your essay which is internally marked makes your opinion hold more weight than anyone elses here. At the end of the day your essay is a opinion based on your own research (which based on your attitude from your posts is not balanced at all)
If you were published in a journal then we can start talking as it would be peer reviewed and far more legitimate

Now the facts are at the end of the day its not a fun time for women in middle eastern countries under Islam. Would most practicing muslim men want the UK to be more like muslim states? I think the answer is obvious

As a women it annoys the hell out of me obviously
Women in Islamic Countries you mean?
Which is down to culture, not religion...
Which has been discussed before again and again...

I would argue that women in Western countries have the opposite problems of women in Muslim countries due to having idealistic body types 'forced' upon them through the media and having to conform to certain looks which they cannot achieve without surgery or anorexia. The Muslims may repress 'their' women but we sexualise 'ours' all the time and no complaint is made (not that I'm personally against nudity). Maybe you should look at our own problems before casting aspersions on how life is for those in other countries.

Personally, I don't care how women are treated in their own Muslim countries because its none of my business just like I don't care how the Chinese Government oppress freedom of speech or how fair Iran's recent elections were.

I also find it funny how men pretend to care about the supposed oppression of women in Islam whilst fapping to Mega ***** 3: Lesbian Anal Revenge Edition.

Am I forced in the country to get a boob job, wear a mini skirt ect? No. That is ridiculous. Its not just women either nowadays men are getting very similar treatment by the media to look good too.

Now the pressures on women to cover up in muslim states are a lot more than some adverts and I think you know that.

When weaker willed women feel guilted/forced into wearing it, the remainder that don't will fear being looked down upon, maybe have career progression stunted or even branded intolerant ect.

Guilted or forced into wearing it... how ridiculous.

Encouraged to wear it by the police, yes. Degraded to being a half-human slave weakling, no. I just can't get over how unreasonable this viewpoint is.

"Hi there, do you mind putting on this headscarf in the mosque please?"
"Yes sure"

"Hi there, do you mind putting on this headscarf in the mosque please?"
"I don't want to wear one thanks"
"Mmm, we would really appreciate it as it respects our religious values"
"Sorry, I don't want to wear it, nor do I have to"
"Ok"

Woah, stop the press! To be honest, I think you would just have to be an utter arse to enter a church without removing your hat or a mosque without removing your shoes in any circumstance (providing it is not an emergency, naturally).

I'm quite aware of the differences in suggestive adverts and imposed Government legalisation and I don't see why you brought up such an obvious reference.

Also, not all Muslim women are forced to wear the hijab and some women are forced to get boob jobs, surgery, etc. to further their careers.

LOL! Get a grip? Provide links to what the internet? So in Iran for example its culture not the religion (Ayatollahs) that running are the country... ooookaayy

Of attitude is dependant on culture. If it all attitudes correspond to religion, there would be no gay christians and I wouldn't have a muslim girlfriend.

Its the police that are asking the females to wear it, they made it and are quite obviously pushing it. So my point stands, they should not have to wear anything other than their uniform as they are equal to their male counterparts. End

Go you:rolleyes: do you feel high and mighty because you got a 1st in your women in islam??...and yes i have been to uni myself so i know how hard it is get a 1st.

As ive said a million times before and ill say it again...no woman is forced to wear a head scarf..yes it does say in islam that a woman should cover her hair as its seen as a thing of beauty. But there is nothing that says a woman should beaten till she wears one. Funnily enough a lot of the girls wearing head scarves are doing it as a fashion statement..sure some of them are forced to wear one by their parents but i dont agree with it and im muslim.

I'll say this even though im not a big fan of head scarves...if my future wife decides to wear one then great...if not then fine her choice...my ex wife wore one and she looked damn good in it and out of it;)...ill let u in on a secret...not all muslim men are neanderthals that the media makes us out to be;).

And thus the discussion ended, i really cba to go through all this again
I find it hard to believe you are even studying the subject let alone get a 1st if you can't even differentiate between a culture and religion let alone something as complicated as the power structure in Iran

Its the police that are asking the females to wear it, they made it and are quite obviously pushing it.
Proof please

And to be quite frank if your sister was willing to put her personal feelings ahead of the job at hand (assuming she holds the same view as your) she should not get the job in the first place

Which careers exactly?

Going from a PCSO to police is a jump which my sister hopes to do. Would she feel her chances may be hindered by going against her superiors wishes to wear something she does not believe in? Who knows? But the pont is she should not be put in that position in the first place just becuase she is female

Would you have a problem if they were asked to remove their shoes??.

Nitefly hit the nail on the head...im sure the mosque wont have an issue if a female officer says she wont wear one..

Modelling and acting mainly.

Yes because all porn only features females? hmmm that does not make much sense? Where are all those black willys coming from  :)

Yeah, but surgery can't really help that part of the male anatomy without serious risks being involved. And women are more of a focus in the porno industry than men are as they get paid more and some become celebrities and get fame.

Pay attention, I was talking about boob jobs. I doubt those are relevant to work in the police force.
