Scientific prediction is one thing but common sense prevails that an English Summer is as unpredictable as a marshmallow life raft.

Sounds yummy, how does one go about procuring aforementioned marshmallowy goodness?

End of July and its raining, wet and cloudy...damn this stupid island that we live on lol...nothing ever surprises me about this so called english summer...does it even exist??...so far ive seen about 2 weeks of decent sun and nice hot weather...just a shame that this summer my bro and his kids are coming over rather than me going over there for a PROPER summer.

Did anyone really expect the good weather to last more than a couple of weeks anyway? I think we've had a fairly good run, I've been warm enough to wear my shorts (unless at work) for pretty much 2 months, and haven't needed so much as a sheet when sleeping for nigh on 3 months.

To be fair, even though its been raining, it hasn't been cold at least. I've had my shorts on constantly for pretty much the same length of time!

if our science can't predict our weather a few months in advance it doesn't give me too much convidence in our ability to predict "global" changes!

They can't reliably predict the weather for 12 hours time never mind months at a time. Take a screen shot of the 5 day weather report for 5 days in a row, then compare them. They just make it up.
