As I understand it, this hasn't actually been completely confirmed has it? Or did I miss that bit? If it does happen....well, I hope people don't expect too much. That car doesn't appear to be ultra-competitive just yet. I just get the feeling that him coming back and not winning a race in that car will give the usual suspects ammunition to say LOL Schumi was never good he was just a cheater LOL.

I don't normally bother with F1, but this could be interesting enough for me to tune in.
 
There is no bad side to this potential pairing. If Schumacher does well, it will send F1 into a frenzy, giving it a much-needed good publicity after all the mid-season political nonsense.

One can only imagine the morale boost this will give the guys (and fans) at Ferrari who've had a really bad year so far.

Very much doubt it considering the ban on in-season testing (although he's probably been in the simulator a fair bit), which will make the Friday session his first proper drive.

Although I’m not quite sure what to make of this, i did think that Ferrari would have gone with Gene considering Schumacher has been out for so long, fitness levels and especially his neck injury, and i would have though there would be too much loose. But it could be interesting though......
 
It'll be absolutely brilliant to see how he fares against the newer drivers, like Hamilton. This is going to be very interesting!

Isn't the rule no in season testing in the latest version of the car. Schumi can run about ferrari's test track in an older variant of the car surely?

Awesome to see the regenmeister back, I would seriously LOVE it for all the Hamilton fan boys to have it crammed down their neck how good Schumacher actually by proving it against the lucky so and so, but I'll be surprised. McLaren have the better car for now, so we'll probably get a load of ZOMG HAMILTONZ ARE BETTER THAN SCHUMI LOLS at the end of the season when Schumacher scores <15pts.
