Goodyear Eagle F1's... Your experiences?

Yes they are still available, I think they are pretty much unavailable in most sizes now though.

Hardysigns eh?

Luke, can you do me a favourable price on some signage for our new building?

If you send the details to my email luke[at]hardysigns.co.uk detailing your request and i will get some things sorted for you if you like?

Luke, do you still work for Hardysigns?

Yep! :)

No complaints here, wear rate is OK too - 4mm+ left after 10k miles on the front of my Mondeo. I've a pair of Asymmetrics on the rear, also good :).

IMO great all round tyre. very good in the wet and holds itd own in the dry. However a soft tyres with a equally soft sidewall. Can feel the flex in the sidewall when pushed on a spirited drive. My experience has only been with the GSD3 in 215/45/17 fitment.

Were those the extra load variants (which should have a stiffer sidewall)? I've got that size in XL and haven't felt anything like that.

they are the best tyre......end of..wouldnt use anything else.....onyl downside is they get a bit hot on track use, the toyo r888 is better for track use.

They've performed brilliantly on my BMW in the ~5k the car was working. Proved very good on a friend's 205 GTI too. :)

I was the friend with the 205 GTI - fantastic tyres, and put up with a lot of abuse. Brilliant in the wet too, just sliced straight through standing water like it wasn't there.

I didn't get a lot of miles from them, maybe 8k, but the driving I was doing reflected the wear - I'm sure if I had a lighter right foot they'd have lasted longer!

I love them. Just hope I can get a set when I next need tyres as I don't find the asymmetrics as good as the old design.

Bloody EU banning a perfectly good, safe, tyre and forcing it to be replaced with one that has less grip.

Easily the best I have tried, superb in wet weather and they just fill you with confidence - too much sometimes :P

I've had the vredestein ultrac sessantas and the Toyo Proxes T1-R on the same car as the F1's I'm using now. Find the F1's perform much better and I'll stick to them from now on.

i'm with everyone here in reccomending them.

I have them all round on my 406 Coupe, previously it had a mix of P6000 on the front and HP (something on the rear). It used to light the ESP light if I tried to corner with gusto, now with the F1's it just grips, and I have barely seen the ESP light.

They are excellent in the wet, and this was the main reason i bought them. I don't really need masses anount of dry grip, as I don't hoon around too much, but in the wet I like lots of grip.

In the Snow they are totally useless, and I've also been stuck on a wet field, needing a push to move the car.

What is the Goodyear Eagle NCT5 like, it's the only eagle I seem able to find for 195/55R15. I want to try something different when these Pirellis wear out, which is taking forever.

since when did the EU ban the GSD3's?
