Back in England, what did I miss?

It's nice to go abroad I've only being to portugal but I think going on holiday 50 miles down the road to scarborough is much better, nice round there and I can cycle there. Planes are crap unless you pay plenty of money too.

Where abouts did you go ? Still over here for another 7 months, although the first 5 have flown by. Dreading going back to UK.

Customer service amongst other things is far far better over here.:D

Not to hijack the thread, but, what's Darwin like to live and work?

Just got back from Paris myself...wish they would speak less English.

Every sentence I say in French is replied to in English :( Makes it difficult to practise...

Lovely city though, spectacular views, architechture, and an abundance of things to do and places to go. Nice women too ;)

I love my country and have no wish to live anywhere else in the world...well except Northern Ireland, i love it there.

I went to Australia for 4 month last year, leaving Auckland (spent a week there) on Christmas morning and arriving in England just in time for Boxing Day lunch. It was a huge huge spin out as well as the floor moving up and down for a day. I definitely miss Aus, we stayed with a family and have made friends for life. The way they live out there has similarities but the differences are often more positive. Apart from the extreme weather and poisonous insects. I would really like to spend more time out there again.

My friend has been living in Portugal for 4 months, mainly just chilling out, drinking and having a good time. She came back for a week and irritated me quite a bit with her "oh Portugal is much better, England is crap and boring" attitude. Fair enough, I would rather be in Portugal soaking the rays but I'm not and just try to make the most of the country I live in.

Yeah I simply don't like going away, nearly everything I want is here...

I'm bare sure you've said in the past that you just sit in your room playing computer games/using the internet, eating junk food and generally not having many friends........... I don't see it much of a surprise tbh!

Occasionally, something else once per week sometimes, and finally: sleep most of the actual day :p.

But yeah usually from 11pm to 7 am I sit here by my pc, listening to music, playing games, watching films, eating junkfood, you name it :p. Until I gotta go to uni anyways.

I drove from Melbourne to Cairns via Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. Was so great and absolutely love the place.

Why did you drive from Melbourne to Adelaide then back again in the opposite direction? Or did you mean Adelaide>Melbourne>Sydney etc?

Eugh, Paris... everything that is wrong about France (and the french) in one place... Dirty, rude and generally not a nice place to go.
