Random inflammatory news story - Harry Potter and the Half Tub of Bleach

And think of the poor cinema worker who has to say to a rowdy gang of chavs 'sorry, you can't buy tickets because you're chavs'. How likely are they to have bleach thrown in their face?

They should have a big box round the ticket part, made of bulletproof glass or something, so if any chavs turn up, they can just taunt them until the cops turn up.

I think the obvious solution would be to have a dress code. Everyone knows chavs only own tracksuits and knock-off Burberry.

I hate noisy people in theaters, whenever I go with someone, we always go to a fairly empty part & someone comes in with popcorn, then sits right by us. Maybe the other 20+ empty seats were not good enough for them.

Simple solution. When they're walking towards you, look them straight in the eyes, smile at them and pat the seat next to you.

Sadly I have become all too used to this.

Youth crime (in particular violent youth crime), is on the up. Irrespective of what various government bodies say. Its on the up, and not only that, its going to get a lot worse yet.

We've been far too liberal and PC in our society for far too long now, its coming back to bite us on the arse, or in this case in the face.

I agree with you, unfortunately there is no person in any place of power with the will or the desire or the backing to do anything about it. They are all far too keen to make political milage out of being 'most' PC, and most emphyatic with the poor underpriveledges masses who prefer to play with bleach than work.

We need a revolution, a wicked bloody affair that brings an age of dark, dark days, oppression and bitterness. After 10 years of this, we can overthrow the tyrants and build something nice, but we've to tear the whole bloody lot down first.

A licence to breed would be step one, start with those having underage sex, let them desist or be sterilised. One way the can continue to shag as often as they like but the 14yr old mum syndrome will be gone. The other way they think about it, stop it until they've enough bloody sence an maturity to raise kids. It'll never happen, and frankly I don't care, but if they ever split the country in two, with a zone for those who give a damn and want to work, and those who don't I know where I'll move to.

It's about time people realised this because there can't be any big political changes if people are not willing to step back and make sacrifices.

I fundemantally disagree with you there. You would too if it was you (or your mum, or your brother) being wrongly executed. The idea that we can fix social problems by "getting tough" on certain sections of society is just going to make things worse. To use your example, telling law-abiding teenagers that they can't go to the cinema because of what they're wearing results mostly in frustrated and angry teenagers.

Do you have any better ideas though? Fundamental changes are exactly what is needed, even if there are considerable disadvantages. People who share your views and have political power are partly to blame for the mess we're in because all they do is criticise ideas and fear implementing them. It's a disgrace that we should sit there and do nothing because all the ideas on the table will "make things worse" or be politically unfavourable. When the time comes where you can't walk 2 blocks from your house without being mugged perhaps these people will wake up and smell the bloody coffee.

That's patching the problem at best, and at worst unnecessarily aggravating a lot of people.

Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, there are a lot of teenagers that don't go around pouring bleach over people. How would you like it if, every time some adult committed a crime, you lost some of your freedom?
