Any new MMO's to look out for?

yes but thats forumfall, it's full of crap.

find yourself a mature guild and you're sorted!

So all he has to do is put up with playing a game for a full month which is when it starts to become fun all the while having to search hard for a good group of people to play with? You're not making it sound very fun.

Warhammer Online, was and is awful.

Complete failure.

Aion, while it looks interesting, it's failed to grab me because it's going through the same phase Warhammer went through.

you've got to be kidding me?!!

Is Mark Jacobs in jail yet for messing it up so badly?

Yes the FBI gaming division have slapped a 100k reward on the arrest of Mark Jacobs
Joking aside it's a possibility rumors have the euro subs under 100k and that's before Aion is released .

Aion. The customisation, graphics, music, animations and just the overall feel of the game - all top notch. The performance is flawless too. Loads in seconds and runs a charm.

Warhammer still has performance issues all this time after release and was the reason I left in the first place.

No, if you look on forumfall their is an EU1 clan recruitment section, all clans will post their listings their and give descriptions in those posts finding the right clan for you.

It doesn't need to take a month, but with any game you play it takes time to get used to everything.

Eve is a very enjoyable game but the steep learning curve puts many people off and that takes even longer to learn the basics.

Speed speaks the truth as always :D the warhammer client has to the the worst ever in the history of mmo's was the programming outsourced to a bunch of college students

What phase is that?

Honest question, not being arsey ;)

oh the phase that Age of C went through as well :)

"next wow killer" phase, where all the fan boys on the net come out saying they're leaving their current mmo, never coming back, going to play the best mmo ever made ect ect...

Then, after they realize this mmo isn't all that, they come crawling back.

doesn't bother me, just puts me off a lot of new releases.

Don't take it the wrong way, people have every right to get excited about a game.

I just don't want to pass judgement until a game is out, and I can go and play it.

Hype and especially people over hyping things can lead to massive disappointments.

Always been a PvP player so whilst I never scream "WOW KILLER" at the top of my lungs every time a new MMO comes out I always hope to myself

"wow pvp killer"

Though saying WoW actually has PvP is like saying that Santa is slim :p

For me if this game, or any other, can draw together the PvP players from across the mass of poor offerings that this player base currently has (at least in my opinion) onto one game with a good PvP system then I would be more than happy as WoW seriously fails to deliver.

Can Aion be that game? I'm hoping so, if not back to Warsong Gulch

I'm getting concerned about Aion after reading details of version 1.5 where they make AP's easier to get from pve, effectively leaving little encouragement for the non pvp player to venture into the abyss

I guess non pvp players wouldnt venture much into the abyss anyway. Will have to wait to see the effect on the general populace though. I know that generally non/little pvp players will take the path of least resistance in order to get their rewards, and as PvE is substantially easier than PvP they would choose that method. The more PvP inclined players like myself though are far more likely to PvP in the Abyss (frankly I pvp for the fun of it rather than the rewards).

Might be quite some variance between servers too, Aion has perked the interest of a lot of ex Daoc players, wherever they go is much more likely to have an active Abyss.

Having said all that, there are still more patches to come before release, and for all we know things could well be changed back before then. All that can be done is to wait and see.

Isn't it AP's from the mobs in the Abyss though?

What guild are you in Tombstone?

Is there a particular server the daoc people are heading too (like what they did in Warhammer on the white rose forums)?

I'm really looking forward to the star wars one.

But havn't heard of FFXIV before now... I liked XIII albeit very slow going sometimes.
