Repeat after me: I am free

I don't think many people are whining, more inquisitive to those who agree with it and why, when it really isn't something we can avoid like Chimerical said.

It's the kind of thingy tossy little art students inBerets and che guevara t-shirts sit around starbucks discussing and anyone who doesn't "get it" is clearly not worth talking to.

I throw bricks at these people.

You should to.

Heaven forbid, someone not conforming to the majority. Why can't you be tolerant, even welcome a diverse range of opinions in society?

Obviously people don't have to do those things, its just saying they shouldn't feel they have to.

That's how I read it. In order to confirm to peoples expectations you will do these things. Although if you don't (with exception of obeying the law), you won't be persecuted by the state, but will, in some ways be, by society itself.

More or less sums up by attitude too.

What an "inspiring quote" daubed by some leftie yob on a piece of plaster. The whole thing should be whitewashed and the offender given community service for two months.

It's a rubbish quote. If there was more hypocritical elements in it, then it would have worked. I walk on the pavement cos I don't want to get run over:rolleyes:

i do like the quote and it's kinda clever but when it comes to that kinda stuff it's very basic and shallow and there isn't much to it. but i still like it. it just a basic misture of several different movies at a guess probably written by some teen after watch fight club/train spotting/vanilla sky etc. it's like.. watered down versions of different types of philosophy etc.

I'm glad you edited that :)

I guess it depends on what you're like as a person as to how it speaks to you.

i'm glad i did too :D

been searching on google, and this thread is on page 2! :p

but it is good, just seems like.. i dont know it was the type of things friends of mine started coming out with after they had just started a levels in philosophy, i just wish there was more too it, it's too much like a train spotting reference but not as good as trainspotting.

anyone got anything else similar? i'm sure there must be more/better graffiti with this feel?

edit: i was just about to check what i had on my harddrive, it was then i realised that i dont have my pc :( this sucks! i am sure i have something similar that i like much more :(

Theres a number of movies with very similiar quotes to this... including as mentioned trainspotting.

Doesn't fight club have something similiar too?
