Details of next xbox live update

Mmm, I might splash out on NFS:Most Wanted. It is almost impossible to get a copy these days without paying megabucks.

Well component was working fine on my monitor before the update and worked for the first few hours after I installed it.. then the next day when I came to turn it on, nothing, no signal.

They've brought back the non-stanrd resolutions so the 360 might be outputting something you monitor can't display. There is a method during Xbox start up to reset the display settings (hold Y IIRC).

Looking at the video on Joystiq, the GoD titles are priced at 1600 MSP. Well Lego is at least but this was always a cheap as chips game.

I don't get the games on demand thing at all. Chances are you'll be able to find them cheaper elsewhere, and then be able to trade them in or sell them on. Thats my biggest gripe with downloadable content and arcade games - you cant get any money back on them.

Yea I tried that (RT + Y on boot). I can display over composite (when cable select set to 'TV mode') and HDMI but just not component. Tried disabling the new auto detect but that just meant I couldn't use HDMI over DVI at all.

LOL.
Disgusting.
They're charging £19.99 for the games they just added, which can be picked up for around £10 or less online!

pft.

Then order it online? Do you not get why they are that price? So retail stores and online stores will not go bust. You have a choice. It's not disgusting, it's business.

lol, it's disgusting because.
Some people don't know they can get it cheaper etc..

I couldn't give a rats arse really, all those games are bad other than COD2 which I already have and bought for £9 brand new.

If that's business thats acceptable then being a Loan Shark is just as acceptable.

Some people being idiots? You just compared digital distribution to a loan shark. I have therefore decided your posts are moronic and not worth my time. So I bid you farewell.

Not Really :/. People who resort to a loan shark are desperate, while people who would download these are lazy.

I meant, the way a loan shark himself does business when he knows he is ripping people off. Same as this.

Not really :/

Are Steam ripping people off when they charge more than a physical game? Or high street stores ripping you off when they charge more than online stores?

No, because they don't charge that much more and steam is better in terms of portability and user access. Doubling the price and almost tripling isn't cool!
