What maintenance stuff do you leave in your car?

You guys with all the stuff, does it not annoy you rattling around in the boot?

A plastic crate with handles combined with a bungie cord between the rear hooks keeps everything nice and tidy at the back of the boot.

I've just got the standard bit plus a screwdriver or 2, an adjustable spanner, a torch, deicer/ice scraper and some spare bulbs. Oh, and some screenwash. Nothing OTT :D

Galant:

Jack, tow rope, jump leads, wheel brace, 10mm spanner (for unbolting the subwoofer from the spare wheel)

Legnum:

Jack, jump leads, wheel brace.

Other than that - absolutely nothing else.

Jump leads, tow rope, fuses, stainless wire (I've had an exhaust fall off in the past lol), wd40, various hand tools, other small sundries that will alow me to bodge a repair till I can get home.
Saying that my 35 yr old Manta has been the most reliable car I have driven so far, not had a single issue since I bought it :)

Forgot I also have a jack and everything needed to change a wheel by the roadside.

Factory fitted breakdown kit (warning triangle, car jack etc)
Factory fitted first aid kit (love vw)
4 litres of water.
Some little screenwash tabs for making mixture.
1 litre Castrol PD130 spec oil.
Spare mobile phone + credit + Insurance and Recovery details :)

If I drove a Rover with a turbo charger I'd also carry plenty of duct-tape :D
:p

How did I know that'd end up here! :D

In the Ti there is:

- Halfords socket set (Trade card for the win!)
- Jubilee clips
- Tape for OcUK meets :p
- Spare wheel and kit
- Spare phone charger
- 48x 500ml bottles of Coke :o

In the wonderful (cough) derv:

- Spare wheel and kit
- Top quality boost pipe repair kit (;))

When you drive 2 British cars you need to be prepared. :D

Currently behind my seat:
-can of tyrewelz (or however it's spelt)
-air compressor
-few bottles of water (for drinking, but could be used for the car obviously)
-some bug spray stuff

In my spare wheel well:
-spare wheel
-jack & tools
-additional socket for my wrench I keep in the door pocket as it's easier to use than the wheel brace (plus can be handy in other circumstances, but I digress...)
-2x high vis jackets (only from going abroad in April)
-very lightweight waterproof jacket (Often have a better one in the car but this is left in the spare wheel well just incase)
-fuses for my sub/amp
-screwdrivers (crosshead and flathead)

Other items:
-Wrench (see above)
-pen knife (someone left it on our shop counter, I took it and put it in my glove box and forgot to take it out - already come in useful when camping once so I'm leaving it there :D)
-spare mobile (iPhone battery life isn't exactly the best...)
-AA Card (kept in my wallet)

I thought I was slightly sad with all the bits and pieces I keep in the boot. I can sleep better at night knowing im not alone. Lets see....

Spare wheel + standard Renault kit
High vis coat (waterproof of course)
High vis waste-coat
1l of oil
1l of ready mixed coolant
Tube of Hylomar Blue
Chemical Metal kit
1x T30 screw driver
2x Ratchets, 1 small and 1 large
1 Small tool kit
1 Medium tool kit, various sockets, allen keys, torx bits, crimping tool, tape
1 Dusting brush
2 Microfibre cloths, 1 for windows and 1 for dash
1 Ice scraper

Being a French car I see all these as vital bits of equipment just incase it decides to surrender in a cloud of smoke and garlic.
