Parking problems

There is, if he parks more over to the right hand side of the slodge. It wouldn't be so bad then.

Does the OP not have a reserved parking space as well as a garage? Is it unreasonable for you to park one car in the garage and the other in your allocated space? Or is the offending car parking in a space that is not allocated to him?

I would park one car in the pink marker and the other on the red. Or as somebody mentioned above, hassle the site manager until something is done about your neighbor's vehicle. :)

We have a garage as well as a reserved parking spot. The problem with parking in the garage and our space is getting in and out, the car park is really badly laid out hence we parked one car where the red is and one where the pink is.

I see. :(

Well if you inform the Site Manager then hopefully you'll get somewhere with it. The only other thing I would say is that if the driver of the other car looks a bit unscrupulous then I wouldn't approach him, it may just lead to confrontation.

Let us all know how you get on. :)

We have similar muppetry at our new build development. Keep on at the site manager, customer services etc until they sort it out for you.

So you have a garage that you don't use so instead use your allocated space and the area on the corner which isn't a designated parking bay.

It would seem like you are both in the wrong or just put up with it as you can't complain about the guy then park there yourself seeing as its not a parking bay.

My advice would be to park in the garage and your parking bay and put up with having to swap cars about, afterall you did move into the place knowing you only had one garage and one parking bay.

So we should be put out because of someone else?

And now it appears that they've decided to be really petty and parked another car on the angle of the fence but more over to where I park. Jesus, I really do despair at the maturity of some people :(

...

My sister has already spoken to him once about parking and the problems it causes so he parked slightly more away so you could park 2 cars straight, one behind the other, now he's gone back to basically dumping his car. Today was the first time it was moved in a week.

Sounds like there was already a resolution met half way and the other guy just got fed up with the minimal effort involved in parking a few inches back. Even though he still got to park there. Although this is the usual behavour of his type you get in all areas.

Take pictures of this retarded parking. And keep hassling the manager for the build to do something about it now.

Its clearly only going to escalate. Or you will end up having to buy a rubbish car and leave it there all the time.

But he's not putting you out as you have 1 garage and 1 parking bay, but you are using one bay and an unasigned parking area.

I guess the guy probably doesn't like you parking there and is thus parking some pos there instead to give you a hint.

If I was you I'd use the garage and parking bay and if you dont like the guy parking there then complain and maybe get it towed if it goes on.

To be clear, is the red splodge your allocated parking space? Are they definitely allocated to the houses?

OK, so if there was a way that he could park that wouldn't inconvenience me, I would just try and let him know in a polite manner. If it was me I would either approach him (depending what I thought of him) or leave a note on his car asking him if he could park in that way.

Rgds

you should try parking on my street where every man and his dog has 2 cars and a work van. its a joke.

Usually have to park halfway down the street and carry the shopping and baby the rest of the way.

Unfortunately this is a fact of life when living in a development like this. It looks as if he is no more or less entitled to park there than you are.

Parking issues really wind me up ,had an empty street the other week ,this chap rolls up outside my "keep driveway clear" sign and tries to leave his car there ,told him in no uncertain terms to .... off if he hadnt i think i would have made him , damn fool , give people an inch and thy will take a mile ect

I have similar issues in which I share a communal car park, trouble is, an increasing number of non residents are parking there. It can be a right nightmare.

The red splodge is allocated to our house, the one next to it is for the flat above the garages and the next one is for the house next to me.

If I spot him I'll have a chat to him about this, no point in things escalating over parking. I'll just ask him when he parks there if he can keep his car more to the right so we can get ours in easily.
