Magnetic or plasma based? Unless I'm very much mistaken, it's possible for complex self-replicating patterns to emerge in clouds of plasma and magnetic fields under certain conditions.
Don't dismiss it just because Star Trek did it.

Oh, to expand on the "why does life have to be made of molecules" thing, it seems quite likely that at some point, we will be able to create a sentient AI computer program. If all else fails, you could do it by brute-forcing a simulation of every molecule in a human brain. In which case, that will be a form of life made purely out of information, not molecules.
So there you go, a semi-realistic example of a possible form of life not made out of molecules.

Just because we do not know what it is, we can not say it is alien. I have seen no evidence for alien UFOs. I don't see how for you hat proves aliens. They are Unidentified flying objects.
I do believe aliens exist out there somewhere. Visited us, highly unlikely and so far no proof. Lot's of proof of UFOs but none of ET origin.
UFO's have been reported to do right angle turns at several thousand miles per hour, (Pilot Reports) and travel from high speeds to stationary in extremely small times, (Witness & Pilot Reports) this suggests that they are not natural phenomenon as they appear to not obey the laws of natural physics, such as an object travelling through space would take the path of least resistance, how on earth can making a right angle turn at several-thousand-miles per hour be the least resistant path?
IF the sightings and reports are correct, then its logical to presume that UFO's are intelligently controlled, as humans are not controlling them and no other animal or insect on earth has the intellectual capacity to, it is logical to assume by the process of illumination, Aliens are the obvious and only possibility.

I'm not convinced by this chain of logic really, if the life that is supposed to be piloting them is so intelligent then why does it make right angle turns which are (as you note) far from the path of least resistance?
Just an aside, it's a process of elimination.
Those sorts of things seem like reflected lights or optical illusions. I saw this supposed ufo light darting about in the distance through this camera lense at impossible angles and speeds when all it was, was the camera shaking.
I would not trust what people think they see.

Sorry about the error was in a hurry, as I said before if the reports are accurate, then either UFO's and Aliens exist, or there is a serious floor in our known physics.

Our technology currently requires us to slow down before we edit our direction, could you imagine a Jet Liner attempting a sharp turn at high speeds, it would rip the aircraft apart. Perhaps their technology does not require them to slow down to edit direction, so they would have no reason to slow down.

If he was an alien then I doubt he'd have used the Greek Septuagint or Hebrew scriptures for so many of his quotes.

Surely it's equally likely they are still primitives.
And even more likely that they are not intelligent at all.
