Do many people still play Battlefield Bad Company online?

Battlefield is awesome, when I used to play I dominated in the chopper, my kill ratio was 60:1. Used to get lots of insulting messages :(
 
So annoyed, tried picking this game up again and had my mate use his NI card yet they still said no. I still have not recived my NI card despite having my 16th back in march :mad:
 
It arrived this morning... just had a quick blast during my lunch break. Seems good fun :D although i didnt see much use of vehicles (unlike 1943), but then maybe that was the maps i was playing?

is there any addons or DLC that i should be getting for this?
 
Top game excellent purchase and it still has a lot of people playing it online now (including me only yesterday infact), excellent weapons, sound effects are AWESOME via optical into a DD receiver and the destructable environments and building are just excellent 9/10 from me!

Not got it .. ? GO GET IT!

there are a couple of maps you can download for free for the conquest maps. Im more of a fan of the gold rush maps tho, specifically oasis. Love that map :D. I really want to 100% this game but there are things which are simply impossible without a bit of back handing
 
Yea I didn't get the one in a million achievement for some reason. The one in single player where you have to take out a helicopter with the laser designator. On the last level I did it but never got the achievement!

I actually did this once online, but alas, it was in the demo :( I was aiming at a tank and just by complete fluke a helicopter just flew right into it

IIRC you can't get it when the helicopter is chasing you or possibly when you fight it, can't remember which bit. I done it numerous times and never got it but it worked on the other part, if any of that makes sense :o
 
I thought I would bump this topic for 2 reasons, firstly to see if anyone fancies playing a bit as I'm quite addicted to the game and second to see if anyone knows anything about the seemingly ultra crap skill rank system.

After reaching rank 25 pretty quickly it tries to give you a skill rank, but either I'm missing something or it is utterly broken. First off, it seems only based on K/D ratio, secondly my game keeps telling me "congratulations due to your recent form your skill has INCREASED" and then takes me from 7 to 12 and from 12 to 20. Once it did say your skill has decreased and moved me from 12 to 7!

What is my real rank? I've noticed that I've been getting a lot better at the game, every single game yesterday my form was green and I had fantastic K/D ratios it said my rank increased but put me from 12 to 20 :(

It's quite depressing, the game is so much fun to play but with such a messed up skill system it takes away from the experience... After you attain rank 25 points are meaningless, at least before 25 if I was support and had lots of points but not such a good K/D ratio it didn't matter I was progressing! Now all that matters is K/D ratio and even that doesn't factor into any system that even works.

Oh and finally, there should be wayyyy more ranks instead of this stupid skill system, I've only been playing for 2 weeks max and I've already got 75,000+ score and top rank is at 37,000.

DICE made a great addition to the BF series but whoever was in charge of ranks totally dropped the ball.

Oh and before I go I'm sick of people knifing me from 10 feed away.

You Play it on Xbox or PS3?

After BF2, every other Battlefield game had easy getting ranks! It takes about 1500 hours on BF2 to come EVEN CLOSE to top rank
 
Sorry should have mentioned I play on xbox, BF 2142 ranks were very similar to BF2, I liked that game a lot, shame I can't get it to work any more :(
