cheers, advertised on gumtree, some sad fooker phoned me, said hell pick it up in half hour, been 2 hours havent heard from him again, maybe hes finishing work then hes gonna phone me, REALLY PEEVED OFF.

Why would anyone buy it for £150-160 when you have already told us you paid £140?

I'll take it off your hands for £50.

So far all info so far, some leaked from a french store inventory has the PS3 Slim at 299 E, same price as current models. The PS3 slim is cheaper to produce, ship, stock than current models if it is higher than the fats its down to clearing the 80GBs first then a drop in price for the slim. I expect a retail price of £250 at first then dropping to £200 later in year, or heavy bundling PS3 slim With Uncharted 2 and Gt5 for £250 at Christmas time would sell pretty well
 
The only 100% sure fix for this problem is to have both PS3 and Xbox 360, if you have the PS3 you will for some reason at some time wish you had an Xbox 360 and vice versa.

I personally find the Xbox 360 is an all round games console with excellent online play, a LOT better than that of the PS3, however I find the PS3 is an excellent media center so both together fulfil my needs, however if I were to decide between the two, personally for me online gaming is what it's all about and the Xbox 360 wins hands down in that department for me everytime but as has already been said its a personal decision.

Don't own a 360 (borrowed one twice from work) - really nice console, but god all mighty, the DVD used to be horrific.

Cross platform games are usually close enough not to worry these days (tho most of the time 360 is ever so slightly better - exceptions being things like burnout).

PS3 exclusives are where its at however, uncharted and MGS4 are worth the price of the console alone. Uncharted 2 looks outstanding.

Personally, I wouldn't sell the 360 to fund a ps3, just get one as well - number of times I sold and purchased another PS1 when a game arrived I simply had to play was crazy. (think I owned 4 of them in the end).

lol. No they're not. Not even close. Good games though but just no.

Like many have said, as an owner of both consoles all I will say to you OP is don't go diving into this and buy a PS3 expecting total greatness and utter superiority to the 360. In many ways, like online features, the 360 is the superior console. In others, media playback, the PS3 is the one to go for. Also, remember that games like MW2 will be best played on Live.

Live might be the better service but I really like the PS3 community and camaraderie on OcUK and that's what swings it for me.
 
I played my 360 for the first time in nearly 6 months today, I had an hour on it before I just had to turn the bloody thing off, I just couldnt stand the racket any longer.
I had a bash on GTA4 I thought the 360 sounded like it was going to tear itself apart.
 
I'd say don't.. I mean
I bought a PS3 2 months ago and I play 360 everyday. I wanted a change, but wow.. hate the PS3 :( and i'm going to loose money shifting it on.

It's not as good as xbox live but it is better for streaming videos and the likes I must admit it's all its got going for it imo.

I have to echo this, some would say that i haven't been on the 360 scene long enough to get into the community but tbh i couldn't ask for a better set of gaming buddies than there are on the PS3 with the ocuk lot, every one of them is a gent.
 
It's got a reasonable amount of exclusives, but not enough to warrant losing the back catalogue of exclusives on 360.
 
My advice would be - dont sell the 360. Save up and buy both. Anyone who has both should tell you that it means you actually have the best of both worlds and dont miss any exclusives.
