halflife2 ep3

It's a shame. I still have the odd half hour on half life 2 even though I have finished it a few times. It's my favourite game and it still looks really good considering it's 5 years old. Doesn't make sense really, make a game as good as that with a string of 100% reviews and then not follow it up. It reminds of of the Street Fighter series. Street Fighter 2 was one of the biggest games when it was released in 1991 in arcades and then 1992 on the SNES which was the most popular platform for that game. Then we had champinship edition, hyper fightering, turbo hyper fighting, Super SF2 etc etc which were still SF2 with a bit more each time. Even SF2 fans started to get a bit fed up with them all.

Street Fighter 3 was released in 1997 in the arcades (people didn't really play arcades half as much by now, probably because everyone had more than capable dreamcasts or PS2s) so for most people it was released in 1999 on the dreamcast. By this time it was was just a different generation of games and gamers and it wasn't anywhere near as big as it would have been 7-8 years previous.

Although I'm surprised SF4 has gone down well with the younger gamers.

That is true. Seems like they're too eager to make L4D2 than Episode 3.

Indeed, I keep forgetting about Gordon and his adventures quite often now days.
 
Its due out in time for christmas and will come with a demo of half life 3 and a new build of counterstrike.

Im basing this on absolutely nothing lol

Have some levels of Valve-esque puzzles and shooting, then end the game by cutting to Gordon walking through a field, the camera zooms into the bird from Episodes 1 & 2 running towards him, she leaps into his arms...cut to...a photo of Gordon and her getting married...cut to...a photo of Gordon and that bird with 3 or 4 babies, all of which are holding crow bars!

I win at the internetz :D

Well if Gordon and Alyx DON'T get it on at the end of HL Gabe will be in for a world of pain from the fan boys.

Well TF2 shipped with Episode 2 so they worked on both at the same time.

Portal also shipped with TF2 and EP2, but they employed the original developers of Portal and so didn't work on themselves.

Left4Dead started development at Turtle Rock Studios, Valve then aquired them and co developed Left4Dead.

So they really should be further along with Episode 3 than they are. Or further than they have announced they are.

I would expect it next November.
 
Shame to see that there have been no updates to the BMS website for ages. I know that they had that server crash that wiped it all out, but no new recent posts? Seems a bit sus to me...

The forums have been posted on and the Twitter was updated a few weeks back saying 'definitely 2009'. That's all i've seen of it recently.
