Fantasy Football 09/10

Im not sure of the rules.

You are allowed 1 free transfer every gameweek, any other transfers cost points.

I only have 1 player not playing so hopefully will get a few points midweek, made my 1 transfer for it too... hope it pays off.

What's the point in naming subs if they aren't drafted in when your players get injured :confused:
 
They only get drafted in if your player doesn't play.

I've got 6 players not playing midweek :( transferred in Kuyt and Modric for Young and Ireland, then my subs in for the other 4 who aren't playing.
 
i had awful start, only 23 points, thought i was gonna do worse coz of lescott but he finished on -1 which i have to say is kind of stupid for letting in 6.

have used virgin/absolute radio the last few years and it is a simpler system - to me a goal is a goal and should be (for example) 3 points irrespective of the players position, the official fantasy league seems to be over complicated.
 
Was on 44 and now on 24 :p had to make a few transfers and refused to use the wildcard yet so early in! So here's my team now....

got 59 points and used my free transfer to swap scotland from wigan for zamora, will use next weeks free transfer to put vidic back in the team
 
Jesus people talking about wildcards already. Got 45 this week with an awesome 4 pts from captain Lampard.

Give it a few weeks at least to see how teams are really playing, as this 1st week will not be representative of there average performances.

I used my wildcard in week 5/6 last year, and it worked wonders.

Got a squad of 10 for GW 2 this week, just about to sub in modric for milner, and have a nice plan over the coming weeks for new players relating to the upcoming fixture list. Lets hope they do well only when I sub them in and not before :p

Me too. I last in my mates league, although its only one game, i'm starting to panick! Gonna give it another 5-7 games before I do something crazy

Aye i know how it works mathematically its just it doesn't seem right a defender can concede 6 and be so lightly punished.
 
Made 3 changes so I have 11 players playing for gameweek 2.

1 of the 3 desperately needed changing anyway.

Had Duke as my sub keeper who doesn't even play when I could have had a different keeper for the same price that plays :o
 
Think I'm gonna be goalkeeper-less this week. Neither of mine have a game, and I don't reckon it's worth spending 4 points changing a keeper - the most a keeper can realistically get is 9 or 10, and if they concede a single goal they're unlikely to make those 4 points back.

Changed out AJ for Rodallega, which is a move that I'm unsure how it will pan out later in the season, but this week I need players who are playing!

Bit worried about having Shawcross in defence against Liverpool as well. If they hit some form it could be a costly afternoon. Hopefully Liverpool will win 4-3 with goals from Kuyt, Riera and a Shawcross hat-trick :D
